Scent of the Day
My Signature

This one took a minute. At first spray I get baby wipes and marshmallows. An hour later faint-er baby wipes, creamy white flowers and marshmallows. It reminds me of something from my childhood and I can’t stop smelling it. Perhaps a doll or little girls perfume that I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s very nostalgic. As the hours go on it just becomes very creamy, a little cigarette smoke-y, and pleasant on the skin. It’s still very hard for me to wear it out by itself— perhaps the little girl thing. I’m usually not much of a layerer but I sometimes make exceptions. I like this one with leathery, Woody or vetiver masculines. Sweeten ‘em up a little bit. I’ll keep it in my collection.
I blind bought this and could not be happier with my decision. Such a sucker for carrot-y Iris. Feels a little like there’s a slight cinnamon note even though it’s not listed, but I find carrot-y Fragrances tend to give me that. This is my new favorite lipstick.
A more refined, more polite alternative to Tom Ford ombre leather. As a forever Diptyque fan and apologist, within this genre of leather fragrance, I wholeheartedly prefer this.
Very successful blind buy. This has become one of my daily drivers. Sandalwood, Orris, every day.
I love this so much. I’m a sucker for an artful gourmand and this one has become one of my signatures. Decadent without being gooey. Chocolate, vanilla, ginger, and I tend to get cinnamon even though it’s not listed as a note. I bought it at Ingredients in Prague. I smelled the whole store for what seemed hours and settled on this, as at the time it was something I couldn’t access stateside. Whenever I take a break from it and then reintroduce I’m taken right back to Autumn in beautiful, pastel Prague.
Aptly named. I want to rate this lowly simply because of the way it makes me feel.. I just can’t bring myself to give it a bad rating because it is truly art. It makes my stomach turn. It smells like blood and violence. I hate it. I respect it.
So haunting. There is coconut, which is usually an anti-perfume for me, however the coconut lingering in this offering feels cold and dry-lactonic and slightly unsettling instead of like a pool party. I’ve been reaching for it as a melancholic foggy morning scent.
