JIL by Jil Sander is a heavy floral but mostly powdery scent, especially in the dry down. I feel a lot of Lily at the beginning, which is just too heavy for my nose, but after a few hours it settles down to a pretty and easy to wear scent. A creamy vanilla dry down, with some powdery notes of Iris and heliotrope. The lasting power is pretty good, I think a few drops of it are more than enough.
I like how this scent changes after hours. My expectation was a bit more fig, but I mainly get vanilla and coconut milk from this scent. It is not heavy sweet, just comforting. Then it changes into a light musky scent which reminds me of Burberry Brit, and that's what I really like here. I would recommend it for fall or winter. Brown Sugar & Fig is not overpowering, but it lasts a few hours. This scent might be discontinued by now, though.
I am a bit disappointed by Rose Praline, as I thought it would be a more chocolaty rose scent, but the notes I smell here the most are tea-notes. At the beginning it feels refreshing, I get some bergamot and flowery notes out of it. Then it changes into a soft, sweet tea and flower scent. I think some notes don't harmonize very well, though. Not bad, but It's also nothing I personally would enjoy wearing. The lasting power is not very good, as it only lasts about 3 hours on me. The name and the bottle are nice, though.
Teint de Neige, what a beautiful fragrance you are. At first, I must admit that this perfume is quite similar to lipstick Rose just with more power and more spectacular, it also reminds me of baby powder. At the beginning I get much of powdery and soft roses with a hint of ylang ylang, this character marked it with the typical old-fashioned touch, which I adore in some perfumes. Later it turns into a creamy, sweet powder scent, gives me the feeling of laying in a smooth bed of snow. It seems that a few drops of it are enough and just right balanced. A very comfortable scent, if for spring, autumn or winter. I also can say: two thumbs up for the lasting power, it's amazing. This fragrance really deserves the name Teint de Neige.
I finally come to my review about L'or de Torrente. A unique coffee-rose-scent. A dry powdery vibe or like "Trvevil" said 'dusty'. The dominant notes here are the creamy cappuccino and the soft rose petals. It would be a good fit for the evening out, but I also think it's not wrong wearing it during the day or at the office, because it's not that strong or heavy. The bottle is indeed a masterpiece, almost resembles autumn.
Quel Amour! This one is different than I've expected at first, it is much more "flowery" than "fruity. Despite all the fruits in the top notes. The only fruit I get here is the tart scent of Pomegranate, mixed with a bouquet of light flowers. Very fresh, thus absolutely refreshing and because of this easiness, this scent would work very well for spring or summer. The most Annick Goutal fragrances have this 'cute-touch' in their scent profile. I am not sure if the name "quel amour" is the right fit for this perfume, as I expect something more sensual, when I read this name. Nevertheless, a good all-rounder in my opinion, easy to wear and long-lasting too. I guess, fans of floral-perfumes would like it.
I tested au The Rouge and au The Blanc today, because my skin doesn't work with the most Bvlgari fragrances and I really wanted to see, if there isn't any perfume by this designer, that maybe works. The rouge seems to work, as I wore it all day with joy. The scent starts off with a burst of black tea and pepper with a soft hint of fig, it smells really similar to real black tea, a kind of bitter and refreshing smell - I'm a tea-drinker, so I know the scent very well, and therefore I enjoy it. This perfume evokes the same traits as a cup of tea, harmony and calmness. The dry down is smoother and very pleasant. I can feel notes of walnut and musk, but the dominant note in this perfume will always be 'tea'. I'm sure this clear and sensual perfume is perfect for every season and works good as every day all-rounder, holiday and office scent. Au The Rouge is not too light and not too heavy, it just has the right balance. The scent lasts on my skin maybe 4 hours, which is acceptable for an Eau de Cologne. Feel like a natural scent, it always reminds me of a wood glade, where the last sunbeams reach the ground and the air is filled with mild warmth, where everything seems to be so peaceful. It's hardly to go wrong with it!
Lalique Le Parfum is a sweet oriental perfume. It's pretty strong at first, but the scent loses a bit of strength towards the dry down. It sounds crazy to mix hot pepper with tonka bean, but hmm what can I say 'it works pretty well'. Gives me a dizzy feeling, but in a positive way. This scent screams sweetness "look im sooo sweeeeet, there is enough of tonka bean+vanilla from first sniff until the last residue on my skin". To all people that are fan of sweet scents (like me) would like this scent, I'm pretty sure. It might be a bit overwhelming to wear as a daytime scent, but it's just right for the nightlife and special occasions like theater visits or something similar. The bottle is really lovely, made of heavy glass, the liquid has a light golden tone and a nice red drawstring adorns the neck of the bottle.
My first impressions of this perfume were not positive, and I thought 'well, another Guerlain I cannot stand' but now I take back what I thought, because it's so pleasant on my skin right now. This is a real floral woody musk (one of my favorite olfaction groups). This scent is a little bit floral, I really like the powdery violets in the heart notes and there is also a hint of woody sweetness, most likely the tonka bean and creamy sandalwood in combination with vanilla. Somehow romantic and not overpowering, quite elegant and comforting. I would recommend it for the daytime and also for night outs, maybe while sitting in an exquisite restaurant, dine the finest dishes and drinking wine. Just reckless, Just Magic ;)
This one is really made for summer. The opening is just fantastic, so fresh, juicy and mouthwatering fruity. I love the watermelon note here, and I wish it would last until the end, but well the contrary is the case. The dry down is flowery and fresh, but it's not a nice kind of freshness, but a more bitter one. Surely works for some people, but this is not going to be one of my future purchases.
Lipstick Rose brings me back to 1948, which was a glorious age for all women, because the typical 'Lipsticks' were born and how could we forget this wonderful smell of loud red old-fashioned lipsticks?! This smell always reminds me of good times, lifts my mood and give me a secure feeling. All these marvelous components are treasured in this simple bottle, created by Ralf Schwieger, called 'Lipstick Rose'. This is a journey with every sniff. I just feel being in a wardrobe of Moulin Rouge, where big shiners ornaments the mirrors and many different cosmetics sit on the dressing table. Costumes hang on the wall, the air is full of joy, everybody is laughing and there is a big crystal vase in the middle of the dressing table with a dozen red, full and rich roses, which captures this one moment. This perfume brings exactly those pictures into my mind and fulls my heart with calmness and joy. The smell of this scent is simply fascinating; slightly floral, powdery with a hint of vanilla-sweetness. I would wear it to special occasions mostly and every season seems to be right, the lasting power is reasonable. A very romantic and cheerful fragrance, which makes people happy, even if it's just for one unforgettable moment.
I see Aqua Allegoria Cherry Blossom as a very subtle and soft fragrance for the spring time. You only get a hint of the cherry blossom's because these flowers have a very faint smell with no sweetness. Simply a fresh, slight, floral scent which can be worn any daytime on sunny days, it last no longer than 4 hours. The bottle is pretty.
Organza is a classic perfume for mature women who are very self-confident and feminine. First I noticed a very heavy flower smell in combination with something sweet and woody. A good perfume for special occasions or nightlife, preferably in the colder time of the year, it lasts very long. The bottle of Organza is quite elegant and sophisticated, represents the femininity, like a treasure in gold. For me, It's just too heavy, but I get why many women adore this perfume.
My mother bought it for herself, and I tested Jette today on my skin. It represents a very soft and fresh-out-of-the-shower type of fragrance, I like it much. It has a little soapy note, but mostly floral, maybe a hint of sweetness from the tonka bean. I think this scent is very good for spring or autumn, if you don't want to smell like bathed in perfume, you can't go wrong with this one.
I'm shocked to see here are not many positive reviews about this nice scent. Flora is recently arrived in our stores, and I was delighted by this perfume the first time I tested it. It has a youthful-touch, but elegant at the same time. You don't get overpowered by flowers, because these flowers harmonizes very well, the dry down is so cuddly and comfy. The bottle is made of lush heavy glass, very decorative. 'Flora' is so nice and addictive, maybe it's too light for some people, but for me, it's just a perfect well-rounded scent.
First, I was unsure about this scent, so I tested it again. The black currant note is very dominant, and I smell some blackberries and blueberries in the top notes. It is a quite juicy scent, which reminds me also of Bordeaux red wine, for some reason. „Amethyst“ is good for summer. I like this fragrance more than Perles, maybe because of the fruity vibes. The bottle reflects the scent very well, if I could give this smell a color, it would be “purple”. Nothing wrong with this scent.
Armani Mania is made for those who like the softness and sweetness of a modest but still elegant perfume. The beginning is a bit tart and I feel some green notes mixed with a warm kind of freshness. After some minutes the scent get prettier and prettier once the heart notes open up, like breaking the hard shell and finding the deep, warm, silky center. This fragrance has a light clean, creamy and musky character, which I really like. Just plain, a very sexy everyday scent. But oh the bottle is not the best one in my opinion, just too bold for such a fragile scent. Sadly discontinued.
Incanto Bliss is the only perfume I tested by the "Incanto" line. The bottle has a cute underwater scenery which brings this song into my mind "Life is the bubbles, Under the sea...Under the sea..." by Ariel, the bottle is in reality very lovely not tacky. Now to the scent itself, it's one of the fresh-fruity kind of perfume. I'm sure I get much of the lotus blended with apple and some citrus-fruits at the beginning, but the freshness lasts until the end. There are also some woody notes. Not a unique masterpiece, but I am sure it's a good scent for spring and summer.
L de Lolita Lempicka was my 'surprise' today, but in a very good way. My first thought was "This smells exactly like my Macadamia Vanilla body lotion" and I always wanted a perfume with this smell, now I found it yee ^^ After some minutes I also smell a light cinnamon note, it's very joyful and for me absolutely not too sweet. I was never into Lolita Lempicka fragrances, because the most have this anise note, but this is an exception. The only one I can like so far and it's just lovely. The bottle looks gorgeous, could be a good decoration for a bathroom and the scent lasts very long too. Two thumbs up for this one.
This perfume was one of my first perfumes ever. I got it when I was around 11 years old, and I used to have the solid-perfume version of it as well. It is actually a great fragrance for young girls as it is a light and sweet scent. I do get some fruity notes and it kinda gives we these pink vibes. A nice everyday scent for spring or autumn, not overpowering and long-lasting.
One of my all-time favorite fragrance. The bottle is lovely, this little inconspicuous diamond with the innocent baby-blue liquid. The scent is gorgeous, an all-time classic. "Wish" is very sweet (but not sugary-sweet, the different sweet components create a good balance), milky, elegant and warm. You feel a well-rounded mix of coconut, vanilla and caramel. In a unique way. I like to wear it on special occasions or in winter, because it feels comforting and gives confidence. For me, it's almost a gourmand scent, but more on the Oriental-Vanilla side. A must-try for everyone who likes sweet and sensual fragrances.
I do respect Rene Lalique for his creations, I really admire his works. Perles is the first Chypre scent I have tried so far. As most people mentioned before, this is a peppery and powdery, but for me also a woody scent. There is no strong floral note that I get testing this. Generally speaking, it feels like a dry and cold scent. Therefore, I believe it is a good perfume for people that dislike fruity, floral, aquatic or heavy warm scents. The EDP bottle is made of frosted glass, very pretty look. Unique and feathery, that's Perles de Lalique.
What a pretty fragrance, very floral and a bit fruity in the beginning. Salvador's Ruby Lips is a cheaper version of this, in case you are looking for a dupe. Coco Mademoiselle might have more depth and better lasting power, though. It's a classy scent and for daytime all year round.
I only had a miniature bottle of this, which was gifted to me from a school friend, when I was a teenager, but I liked it a lot. A very feminine, warm and cozy fragrance. In my opinion it's not heavy or sweet, gives of this typical vintage and classy vibe. It actually might be discontinued nowadays.
