L'Instant Magic, from Guerlain was released in 2007. The perfumer behind this creation is Randa Hammami and Sylvaine Delacourte. It has the top notes of Anise, Bergamot, and Lemon, middle notes of Carnation, Freesia, Mimosa, Rose, and Violet, and base notes of Almond, Cedarwood, Iris, Musk, Sandalwood, and Vanilla.
My first impressions of this perfume were not positive, and I thought 'well, another Guerlain I cannot stand' but now I take back what I thought, because it's so pleasant on my skin right now. This is a real floral woody musk (one of my favorite olfaction groups). This scent is a little bit floral, I really like the powdery violets in the heart notes and there is also a hint of woody sweetness, most likely the tonka bean and creamy sandalwood in combination with vanilla. Somehow romantic and not overpowering, quite elegant and comforting. I would recommend it for the daytime and also for night outs, maybe while sitting in an exquisite restaurant, dine the finest dishes and drinking wine. Just reckless, Just Magic ;)
