Great cherry/leather scent but the longevity could be better.
I love the Supremacy line, but with this one the opening of oregano, smoke and patchouli are too intense for me. I think the patchouli and green smokiness together are not my favorite, i would call this a crazy person scent lol, 3 sprays is enough. Overall 5/10, there are much better options out there!
This is not your mass appealing leather fragrance by any means but as with all Rook, you need to give it time. Time to develop and time for yourself to understand the house.
This one opens with a blast of intense realistic leather. Freshly laid out to dry. There is a heavy coal tar note in the opening adding a medicinal feeling to the smoke and leather.
This intensity passes reasonably quickly, where it softens into a cleaner, smoother, but still a little medicinal leather scent with a hint of animalic fur.
It doesn't smell bad but it does smell boring and cheap. I don't get coffee, it's just a super generic spicy rose that's been done a billion times before. Like I said, not bad, but you can get many others like this for way cheaper.
Escape en Indonésia is utterly pleasant fresh scent without any sharp or harsh nuances. I'm not a fan of citrus scents but I have always been enjoying to wear this one. It's so so soft, not crispy and rather comforting than energising which is rare if we are talking about the citrus category. Neroli and Jasmine are pretty yet gender neutral. I don't think this leans into green but it stays bright with beautiful salty and sensual touch from Ambergris. It's not animalic in any kind of way, it just makes this citrus scent more than just a fresh citrus perfume. Sandalwood helps to keep the aroma smooth and silky but it never gets thick nor creamy. I'm wondering why women haven't found this scent since there is nothing masculine nor feminine character in this one, it's totally neutral. Escape en Indonésia is absolutely a great choice to wear in hot temperatures but it doesn't feel unsuitable for colder weather either, it's great office scent as well. It doesn't last all the day and a sillage is minimal but I don't see that it's a problem in this kind of perfume. You can easily overspray it, bath in it and you get a gentle veil over you and it's like your second skin. Thank you for reading, I hope you liked my review. I would appreciate if you follow my IG: @ninamariah_perfumes It gives me a lot of motivation to write more. 🤗
Hello, is it me you're looking for? Cause I wonder where you are And I wonder what you'll do Are you somewhere feeling lonely? Or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart For I haven't got a clue But let me start by saying...
I can't smell you.
Oh hellooo spring fling! This is an outstanding almost medicinal citrus perfume with a beautiful organic, slightly sweet, fresh basil and vetiver dry down. The clove rounds this citrus formulation out perfectly. Very glad this is in my collection. This is not a 6-8 hour wear (beach hut man) ..think more 3-5 in classic freshie fashion. Very much worth the amount paid..and can be found for great prices on US discounters.
Tacit beat out LV On the beach and H24 Vives for one of the spring, summer rotation spots.
Elegant smoked vetiver with a little bit of rugged earthiness. Very classical feeling. A great vetiver and up there as a personal favourite with Dior
It's a lighter, sweeter version of Tilia by Marc Antoine Barrois. It starts out green and very floral, then it dries down to a sweet and pleasant smelling fragrance. It is surprisingly long lasting for an eau de toilette as I got a compliment 10 hours into wearing it. It's unisex leaning feminine.
Divine Vanille may have top notes of spice added to the profile, but I'm hard pressed to really pick up any anything past the vanilla. Don't get me wrong, the vanilla carries an amazing aroma. But, this fragrance is pretty linear from front to back, in my opinion. For the price, you would be better suited going with the Cremo Spice and Black Vanilla, as Cremo has a more complex profile to it for a fraction of the price. Do I like this scent? I do. Would I bu it again? Probably not.
Pretty lilac scent with some creamy nuances, especially in the top notes. Fades into a nice spring scent. Love that most if the ingredients are natural. 🌿
Smells 20 times more expensive than it is (or sadly was).
My friend at work wears this. It smells great on him.
This fragrance is an immaculate sleeper. Opens up with citrus but not too citrusy. This fragrance is so smooth. The woody amber dry down is great. This is not a projection or sillage beast. Projection and sillage is good but this will shine in a more intimate setting and it's very inoffensive. This reminds me of Lafayette St on the dry down. This is a must have imo.
It’s a classic for a reason. Versatile, relaxed, can be dressed up or down. A staple for any man’s wardrobe.
Slight red berry note on the top that settles into a very smooth leather.
With a name like this (The Devil's Diaper) I had high hopes. What I got was a perfume that smells like many other Lutens perfumes. Which is not to say it's bad, but it's so close to those several many others that I feel totally bored by it. Think Le Participe Passé meets L'incendiaire meets Ecrin de Fumée meets Périlleusement Votre. And in fact here, the synthetic oud is scratchier than in the aforementioned ones and is already irritating me after five minutes. Big fat meh. Update: it's mostly a labdanum soliflor, I don't get any of the other notes, just synthetic oud, some resiny sweetness in the opening, and labdanum.
A nice, dense, slightly bitter, almost milky black tea with bergamot and orange. Like an Earl Gray. Gently spiced, strong apricot and smokey, incensy woods with a bit of a grassy, earthy, slightly powdery sweet base. A wonderful tea note. Outstanding apricot scent.
Because of the price, I had to start with travel size of 10ml. From my own good feeling that this perfume gives and validation from those around me who truthfully complimented me, I went for a full bottle on discounters. Almost 40% from RRP. I am sure 100ml will stay a lifetime, potent as it is.
The best lavender.
It’s dry, without that typical vanilla base. It’s like smelling the actual flower.
I you love lavender, but don’t like an ambery base to go with it, this is it.
One of my all time favourites. Nothing comes close.
The one lavender to rule them all.
Immensely realistic incense.
Italian church incense. A cooling incense. Not cold, but cool.
A mild cedar base.
Not very long lasting, but amazing while it lasts. So good, that I don’t mind the mediocre longevity.
Mitsouko for men. It starts as a fougère and leaves you as a chypre.
Florals covered in moss and leather. A stately chypre, like Mitsouko. But with a sturdy leather base. And not so peachy...
Simply magnificent.
Concrete buildings, steel, steam and icy pears. It’s the image of an urban jungle. Nature, among the man-made.
Lightly peppered Rose de Mai with a hint of black tea.
