In the humid heat of +30, cinnamon dominates on my skin!!! It’s as if you’re inhaling the scent of freshly ground cinnamon from a jar. And a hint of clove (flower) with ylang-ylang. Overall, the fragrance is perceived as somewhat oily, which wasn’t the case in cold weather.

In winter, however, the scent was completely different; it mainly featured aldehydes and tuberose, with a touch of bitterness - bergamot? - and gradually became powdery, by the way, the powder is a very beautiful vanilla, but the beginning was quite sharp.

A very juicy, natural citrus-ginger start! Right now, in hot weather, there’s no sharpness; on the contrary, it’s refreshingly pleasant.

As it unfolds, it becomes softer, revealing floral notes, but I can’t say that it’s exactly magnolia, although I adore its scent.

In the end, it leaves a saltiness on the skin, very gentle, like a sea evening breeze. It lasts on the skin for about 5-6 hours.

For me, this is very similar to Manifesto by Yves Saint Laurent. I didn't expect such a resemblance.

I applied one spray on the crease of my elbow under my jacket, and while I was returning home, I thought I would suffocate everyone around. Well, it's very loud, with an extremely long sillage. This lasted about 2-2.5 hours, then the scent quieted down. But I tested it on a fairly hot day at around +25, so I think in the cool of the evening it would sound more harmonious.

PS

Yes, as expected, in different weather conditions it opens up much more calmly, the resemblance to the classic Manifesto is still quite strong, but it doesn't resemble the l’elixir version for me; that one is more seductive, thick, enveloping, evening, with a big sillage.

On my skin, this is a salty, sunscreen scent with a marine tone to it. Whilst it’s nice, and I’m always looking for a good ‘salty’ scent - something about them always ends up cloying on my skin. This is similar to, and the same happened with one of Kylie's new fragrance Cashmere Muse.

I had the opportunity to purchase a bottle that is over 9 years old from the first releases, and since I was planning to buy Nero Assoluto anyway, I decided it was better to take the "old man." I definitely overpaid; it’s not worth it, as it doesn’t differ from the later versions.

As for the fragrance itself, it is the older brother of Roberto Cavalli EDP, denser and more languorous, with a balsamic sweetness, a lot of vanilla, and what is called orchid, but it’s still the same Cavalli EDP with its signature chewing gum note.

It doesn’t have a sillage; it sits as a small cloud but clings well, with hair and clothes smelling of it the next day.

I don’t even know now which one I like more.

If we consider them as paired fragrances, then yes, one is for daytime, the other for evening or for colder weather.

P.S. The vanilla here has a slight citrus tartness, I really like it, but I wish the fragrance were more diffusive and had a stronger sillage. Maybe someone knows a similar vanilla in other fragrances with decent characteristics?

The first hour sounds quite interesting, saffron, oud with fruity-amber notes, very delicate, feminine. But then it quickly rolls into a quiet vanilla-sandal base. The final characteristics are weak; the classic version is made much better in this regard.

Once the opening fruity citrus sweetness fades, it's an almost candy sweet Glossier You. The citrussy sweetness softens and this is akin to G You Soie with the almost savoury cosy rice note.

Very lovely - and I love the bottles.

How multifaceted, rich, and complex it is, even a bit solemn, revealing new facets every time. For example, today, in the dry heat, it unfolded on me with bitter peaches like in Bitter Peach, one might wonder where they came from!

The fragrance does not evoke any associations with sex or the sea for me at all. I don't sense any corporeality here in any form.

However, if for someone the scent of coconut is about vacation/sea, then yes, one could say that the fragrance is about vacation. The coconut is evident here, but it's played with interestingly.

The perfect iris (in the style of Dior), light alcohol notes, warmth of amber, slightly spicy. In the end, it feels suede-powdery-alcoholic-spicy.

From start to finish, it sounds elegant, not stuffy. A clean unisex scent with a niche sound.

A wonderful delicate care-cream musk. A benchmark. The only downside is that the scent is very quiet; you can only feel it if you douse yourself from head to toe or if you are in very close contact with someone.

For me, this fragrance is about osmanthus, cinnamon, incense, a hint of tobacco, and a sharpness of black pepper, and of course, vanilla. I perceive all of this quite vividly, in waves.

There are no cherries for me here; perhaps the combination of incense, cinnamon, and tobacco is heard by some as hookah cherry...

Its time is cool summer or warm early autumn without rain (a dry climate is key for this fragrance), then it unfolds very beautifully and the longevity will be good.

At first, it’s like cola-flavored Skittles, then after a while, lemon and cinnamon join in; I can imagine cherry, but if I didn’t know the pyramid, I probably wouldn’t. It doesn’t resemble Khaltat Night, where the cherry is resinous-spicy and has just a little bit of cinnamon. Here, the scent is all about cinnamon and cola.

Liquid Brun is a good add, especially if you want the Althair DNA without dropping Althair money. It isn’t an exact 1:1 like content creators will say, especially on the opening, but it captures the Althair DNA really well in a way that satisfies that itch. I’d say it’s an 85% dupe, it lacks the refinement of Althair and feels like a cheaper knock off, but it is still a good add for any collection!

The sensation it produces is a blend of creamy coconut, green fruit, and a slightly vanilla background.

It is not an artificial coconut from an air freshener, although it also does not have the natural realism of a coconut extraction. It is more of a perfumey coconut, clean and appealing.

Honeyed amber, a hint of cinnamon and vanilla, a bit of leather, a drop of oud.

For amber lovers to test.

Sounds more expensive than its price, no note stands out, harmonious.

A brighter, more persistent, and louder-sounding analog of Bois d’Iris from VC; I love it, but it is just too quiet and transparent.

I never thought I would say this, but considering how similar they sound, I prefer this analog.

By the way, it is made well, doesn’t smell synthetic, doesn’t reveal surprises, and lasts quite a long time on the skin.

I have many complex fragrances, but I love such scents in the heat when I want freshness and lightness, no complexity and certainly no sweetness. For me, it is bergamot-tea, and the flowers make it more feminine. There is almost no development, it is predictable and without surprises. The longevity is excellent even in humid heat, it lasts on clothes and hair until washing and showering, respectively.

When I first tried Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums, I thought I already had something similar, and indeed, there is a resemblance to this fragrance.

The first inhale and I feel something spicy like bay leaf or myrtle, and then the bitter green tea, woody freshness, creaminess, and pepper; without looking at the pyramid, I thought it was sandalwood.

The fragrance is completely devoid of sweetness and floral notes. It could use a bit more longevity.

At first, there are a lot of citrus notes, then they almost completely fade away and what remains is natural olive soap, with a hint of woodiness. A very calming scent. A variation on the theme of purity.

If you like this kind of fragrance or work with people in an enclosed space, then this is a good choice.

Honestly, it’s a very nice surprise. From the first spray, you feel a rich and elegant fragrance, with a deep oud accompanied by woody and spicy notes that give it a lot of character.

Over time, the fragrance becomes warmer and more enveloping, with that feeling of luxurious, sophisticated, and very well-crafted oriental perfume. What I especially love is that it’s not just "oud": it has real depth and a beautiful evolution on the skin.

The longevity is also very interesting, especially on clothing, where the fragrance remains present for a long time. It’s the kind of fragrance I would choose for an evening, a special occasion, or simply when you want to wear something distinguished.

A fragrance with a lot of presence and personality. A very nice discovery.
