Does logging from a widget or Siri count for my streak?

Yes. It's the same scent of the day as in the app, and every widget updates straight away.

Does the weather widget need my location?

No. It takes the city from your phone's time zone, and you can pick another city in the widget's settings. Weather data comes from MET Norway.
