I cannot pick out any of the individual notes. But it is one of the most realistic gardenia scents. Not just the pretty sides. Also the slight mushroomy sides. Its not just a soliflore either. Smells like slightly aquatic like flower stalks sitting in water. Lovely perfume and was surprised how long it lasted on my skin. Almost 12 hrs in the summer!
I was so surprised by this fragrance. Being Amouage I was expecting more heft and frankincense. But this is a fluffy poem of fruit and flowers. I saw comparisons to Neshama souls on fire and decided to test this. So glad I did. It is so beautiful and classy. The leather is barely detectable, and only in the base. The osmanthus is clear and airy with apricots enhancing the fruit aspects and jasmine supporting the flowery aspects with some cardomom adding some interest and some light honey making it sweet. The honey is not syrupy but light like what you smell when you add it to tea . There is also some tea, but not standing out to my nose, just part of the blend that supports the osmanthus. One of the most beautiful osmanthus perfumes I have tried. Overlooked in the Amouage lineup. I am guessing a good seller for then since it's part of their current selection from the Chong era.Blooms beautifully on you ur skin in the summer.
This is an unusual scent. the first part is green and fresh and then it goes Into a cozy evening vibe. Which makes sense when you read the copy for the perfume. Took me a few wears to fall in love. It’s a perfect start your day or end your evening kind of perfume. Wake you up and mellow you out. I have not smelt a arran jumper but I do a slight lanolin like smell that is comforting like Luscious cream. the price point and creativity ratio is also right for this line. Well worth checking it out and will make a perfect souvenir if you go to Ireland .
One of the best creation this century according to not just me but much better noses than me. Rbalkis on the other review website and also persolaise on yt.
Being Indian and having a love of french perfumery NVC is the perfect perfume house for me. I love all their creations and nothing captures the essence of Indian rituals like Trayee. This immediately transforms me to a religious ritual, where someone took a hit of ganja and you walk through a home, laden with all the smells of spices infused sweets, with jasmine garlands hanging on doorways and the resins are being burned and you walk through the smoke infused with pure Mysore sandalwood. This is the only perfume I have a backup bottle of. A masterpiece from Bertrand Douchefour with the exacting creative direction from Neela.
Soft romantic floral vanilla. Very beautifully constructed. it’s not going to keep your brain engaged with its complexity. But Every simple layer has good ingredients. The vanilla is not syrupy or too sweet. the orchid is an interesting companion to the vanilla. not a groundbreaking combination. My favorite part is the slight cinammon peru balsam. Overall a very pleasant experience. Classy, feminine leaning , versatile scent. Would have considered a full bottle of the price wasn’t not so exorbitant.
Not a full bottle for me. Will use up the decant. I love lavender but the softer, rounder kind. This is a herbal lavender blast which I don’t mind at all. But what turns me off is the sweet fruity notes and the caramel combining with the lavender in the opening. Even if caramel is listed as the base, I smell it peaking through in the opening and it is just not for me. I do enjoy the mid pineapple and the patch, vanilla combo. It is strange combination like Houdini mentions in his review. Its interesting and different. If you like sweet slightly acidic fruit ,caramel and have an affinity to lavender this might be for you. Reminded me of the way Twilight from lush is similar. So try that if you can’t get a hold of this.
This fragrance to me is a testament that you should test your fragrances on multiple days in differant seasons. I had dismissed it after testing it in winter and then sprayed it on on a mild rainy spring day And fell in love with it. It immediately transported me to a rainy May spring day when all the irises were blooming at my local post office. The Sun was out after a downpour.. This perfume is the smell of those irises covered in rain drops. Slightly ozonic, fresh and sunny but watery and delicate because of the lily of the valley, but also slightly rooty. The beginning smells more like the petals and gets muskier and woodier as it progresses all the while maintains the delicate feeling. The ylang is not very noticeable but I guess is there to support the orange blossom to my nose or could be the jasmine which goes a bit soapy. It’s perfect for spring and summer. I will be getting a bottle soon.
This was the perfect lilac I was looking for. The wisteria lends some purple feel to the composition. Not too sweet or chewy or dense. Clean and crisp like a spring morning. To be worn with tee shirts and crisp linen shirts.
