Better than the original. It is soft, sweet and feminine. Its sillage and longevity are moderate but decent as body and hair mists go. It also smells just like my body wash and body cream so it’s a great match for me.
Take Amouage Gold woman and pare it down, taking out all those big airy 80’s floral aldehydes. Now pare it down a little bit more until all you have are the powdery floral facets of the naughty skanky core of the fragrance. This is exactly what I smell when I wear Poudrexstase, Gold woman reduced to the naughty bits. But, despite the marketing, it’s not so filthy that it can’t be worn in public, in my opinion.
It opens aromatic, medicinal, sharp, and slightly bitter. Slightly spicy, but cool spices not like cinnamon.
After a short while it evolves into soapy florals, but florals which lean towards a traditionally “masculine”, whatever it means, kind - likely due to an iris that make it veer towards an ever so slightly severe scent, not lipsticky at all.
I haven’t detected any hints of animalic notes on my skin, unlike with the first three fragrances of the brand, just as a personal comparison.
Eventually the fragrance ends as a pleasant barbershop-y woody scent with still detectable hints of iris. It is all in all perfectly nice, although definitely not for me (from the brand I’m more partial to Poudrexstase, Ambilux, and possibly Heliodose) but it surely is good to smell on someone else.
The drydown lasts quite a long time but it’s not eternal, I would say around 8-10 hours maybe.
On a side note, I went on and on all day smelling my arm until I remembered the perfume it vaguely reminded me of, at least in some aspects: Iris Nazarena from Aedes de Venustas, which I still don’t wear but prefer it to Corpalium in the drydown, as far as I remember from trying it at least a year ago.
Stunning
Boy Smells Violet Ends by Boy Smells has a sharp Violet meets a decadent papyrusSmoke with subtle Black Tea & Incense. One of my favorite sensual fragrances. The bottle design is newly updated.
This is a very photo realistic church scent. I wish the bottle was a little less casual, but this is a great house out of Italy that takes great pride in what they make
A nice smell but nothing out of the ordinary.
I could not get past the fenugreek of this.
With a name like Reckless Leather is was expecting leather on leather on leather. Instead I only got fenugreek and other cooking spices.
This was definitely not for me.
An incredibly realistic honey tobacco. Really beautiful. There is a little brightness from the ginger, but to my nose I can’t detect what oud they are claiming is there.
Nothing that I’ve ever smelled before. Louis Vuitton has once again made a monster fragrance. It’s a fresh lemon bomb that dries down perfectly. Easily the best out of the three new releases.
Citrus opening, settles down with a sweet honey, and vanilla in the dry down, moderate projection, 7h long
.
Very good
Its one of the finest in the house of Ormonde Jayne
A bit of a mystery. No known perfumer and just "floral and musky". For the price point it is amazing. I sense some sort of fruit in there, perhaps blackcurrant?
It's just absolutely lovely to wear as a relaxing around the house, comforting perfume.
It does not take much effort to get compliments from this fragrance. Its such a gem that many are gate keeping
Just good fragrance
Fresh citrus opening, the performance is good on me for at least 7h+, I also smell some tea scents throughout the dry down
Beautiful scent, bottle and so affordable 🌸
I used to love this so much but I believe with time my perfume taste changed but I do remember how good it felt using coco Mademoiselle
