Culinary, spicy, almost seafoody if you shove your nose into your skin, but amazing.
I have some scents - like a pair- which are perfect to wear for couples. ❤️ This is the first pair. The best classical timeless Chypres inspired by vintage Mitsouko! ✨ If you want to buy a totally new bottle and the budget is not limited I highly recommend to try these ones before buying a new version of Mitsouko or Rochas Femme. Those are nice as well but these are so incredible amazing ones with extraordinary quality! The classy well blended complexity which is hard to find. ROJA PARFUMS 🖤 DIAGHILEV Very strong and majestic, deep and rich blend, a challenging to wear for many. This one definitely needs the right kind of clothes, otherwise you look and smell totally ridiculous. Yet, I see in my eyes a handsome man after a bath in Versace bathrobe. 🤩 Sharp and spicy, leathery and musky, mossy with a gentle touch of animalics - everything in this scent is heavy. So GORGEOUS! Main notes: - Lemon, Bergamot, Lime, Orange, Tarragon - Jasmin de Grasse, Tuberose, Heliotrope, Violet, Blackcurrant Buds, Peach - Patchouli, Oakmoss, Benzoin, Labdanum, Leather 💜 CHYPRÉ EXTRAORDINAIRE Soft and fruity, sophisticated and subtle, very refined yet addictive and complex beautiful scent. This is brighter and lighter (not weak) than Diaghilev and a little bit sweet. This is like a sun and Diaghilev is like a moon. This is like a queen and Diaghilev is like a king. There is amazing mossy base with Civet and Musk but animalic vibe is absence. Totally in love with this delicate yet well projecting scent. Definitely a year around scent for me. It's incredible how much a nose can develop and learn to distinguish perfume notes. Never has this seemed more apparent to me than now, having just sprayed GPM on my inner elbows while lazing around on a Sunday. The first time I got my nose on this in the boutique on Avenue Victor Hugo (RIP) it was on card, and I smelled almost the whole range with the wonderful sales assistant (my first time experiencing Frédéric Malle fragrances). I immediately thought "toothpaste blast"! Months later I got my hands on three 10mls in a set, and wore it properly, and of course I noticed a whole lot more, notably that the dry down was vastly different to the opening, and there was more complexity to the minty geranium (although it was still giving me Colgate freshness). I noticed some sort of fixative base after a few hours, my least favourite bit of this scent. Now, today, I get spices! My first thoughts were "woah, this is skanky". I never noticed the skank before. Perhaps it's the cloves. I've been delving into retro spicy scents recently (Tabu, Équipage, Derby, Opium, Sybaris, Mandate, Parfum Sacré...) plus some less retro ones (Serge Noire, Fate Man, Figment Woman, Heaven Can Wait, 8 88...) and so I feel like my nose has started perceiving spices differently. Géranium Pour Monsieur seems like a different scent now, a shifting, complex, earthy, spicy, green, foresty bouquet. While the mint is there, it's far from my mind. Of course I shouldn't blow my own sophisticated nose horn too much, this is actually a testament to the genius of this perfume. I'm really taken aback by how much can come from a simple little flacon. It's never going to feel like me, as in I don't think I'm ever going to buy a full bottle, because I just don't wear it that much. It's more olfactive art to me than the type of scent I reach for, but what a marvel, honestly.
A dazzling, pretty, fruity-fresh opening, dry and austere, fast turns into a relentless musk onslaught as the berries depart leaving a grey-beige fug (raspberry ketone overdose?).
I've heard people I trust rave about Céline (I'm looking at you previous reviewer on your podcast wink wink), so I got the sample pack. They're all very well done, but there's nothing that makes my heart flutter. It's like they're trying to outchanel Chanel. Which, why not! But aside from the funny playdohey Dans Paris (absolutely not what it smells like dans Paris, I live there - piss, piss everywhere... and fag smoke) making me chuckle a bit, I feel nothing about these perfumes. I'm wearing Reptile, which is a dramatic name for something which essentially smells like I wore (insert vetiver perfume name) a few hours ago or even yesterday and am now left with a creamy remnant.
This opens like a saccharine, "teenage girl's" perfume (for want of a much less loaded expression), but constantly morphs In and out of various genres, before setting on a sort of musky, cashmeran dry down, not a million miles away from B-612, by design I guess. It's good, and interesting, but it's not something I'd really consider putting into my rotation. I'm not sure who this would suit (not that it matters), as it gets pretty serious and plummy, and the musky base gets almost murky, rubbery and/or plasticky, so all in all it's not very vain or naive, it would take a self-assured person to pull it off. Still, it's a welcome change from Chris Maurice's constant production line of slightly tweaked, sickly "oud" scents, which I found interesting, then tedious, and now ignorable.
Generic designer aromachemicals. So boring. Glad I only got a set of 7mls, all of this range are bland AF.
Opens okay, dries down to a generic designery amber fixative. Zzzzzz

One of the best perfumes ever made, period.
Green "fougère" with trademark Dusita indolic skank....not sure where it's from, I could swear it's jasmine, maybe it's liatris, something I have no knowledge of. Like all Dusitas, this is strong and smells like it's composed of vibrant, humming, natural ingredients, instantly recognisable as the house style. I don't think this one is for me, but I am still blown away by the artistry.

LOVE MIMOSA based on a sample (3 wearing) If I’m just thinking how Mimosa smells I would never choose this scent. Anyway this scent is refreshing and sweet in the same time as I can find there a fresh aquatic note blended together with a sweetness from Pear and Ylang-Ylang like sweet powdery Mimosa as well. This really smells like a spring turning into summer. Mimosa is strong only in the opening, after that it blends with other notes in the perfect way. Not so unique but very versatile and non offensive scent. Not so much Amouage like I have used to but I enjoy this one regardless. This is feminine scent and could be worn easily in the office. There could be some interesting notes here but everything is smothered in an overdose of ambroxan or some synthetic musk. It's overbearing. There's an interesting, austere iris in there, but it's been flattened under the "almond". I'm glad I only got a 5ml decant, I don't need any more than that.
Serous amounts of va va voom. I'd forgotten Sarah Baker signed the original F&F and similarly this new extrait version is like a nitro boost for your senses. Gas-guzzling, it hurtles you into a high-speed chase through a field of oil-stained tuberoses. It's racy stuff. The motor oil, the mezcal, the white flowers. Based on a sample: Beautiful very natural smelling Vanilla. It’s sumptuous and airy, it’s fluffy and somehow light yet not watery in any kind of way. Mimosa makes that feeling but the scent of Mimosa is pretty much absent. I’m not a gourmand lover and I enjoy this scent a lot. This is not so edible like some other vanilla perfumes. Brown sugar as a note luckily doesn’t perform like that on my skin. This is sweet but not overly cloying sticky sugar bomb, it’s cheerful and uplifting. Somehow in the strange way it reminds me of Kayali Vanilla 28 but not the same as a scent, I don’t even like that one so much, Fire At Will is more special and classy imo. Definitely one of my favorite “clear” Vanillas. This perfume is full bottle worthy and I will write an in-depth review after buying a FB. In based on the sample: This is beautiful, very pleasant Musk covered with honey like sweetness. One of the easiest scent (quite linear as well) from FB but in the same time so soft and subtle that I barely can smell it after an opening. That doesn’t bother me at all, I love some skin scents but the longevity is the problem at least on my skin. I tried this for days and always the same problem, I barely smell it after 30-60 minutes. Iris is hidden bringing only a powdery feel. Animalic notes are tamed and very easily approachable. I would say that if you don’t like FB perfumes there is a chance that you like this one. I wanted to buy this so badly but the bottle would be quickly finished because I should respray all the time. Smells borderline identical to a Starbucks chai latte - nice. If you like that sort of thing.
It's like Melt My Heart by Strangelove with the magic stripped away. It's a quality scent, but I have no emotional reaction to it so for the price it's a firm "meh". Next.
Watery, metallic rose with minty geranium. More minty than I first noticed. Something herbal and green lurks underneath, is it palmarosa? No idea but it works well. It develops and opens very quickly and it more complex than many other perfumes I've tried from Unky Serge. I'm not sure if I need more than my 4ml miniature yet but it's good.
Thin, metallic rose. I'm not that keen. I much prefer the new one Là Fille Tour de Fer which is a similar scent with more depth.
Damn this ish strong!!. Very unique and defo more feminine. I can see this becoming cloying or headache inducing after a while. Very polarising
This is banging, very suagry caramel sweet on Me with some gentle aquatic undertones. Perfect summer frag. I personally wouldn't say it smells like bleu turquoise at all. That one is a lot more woody and this on is a lot more sugar sweet
Interesting super green vanilla, exactly like Angélique Noire with a touch of galbanum. Very sweet. Unwearable for me but very nicely done.
