I absolutely love this scent, especially the juicy pear in the opening. I could douse myself in it, if it wasn't so expensive ;)
I so so so wish it had a little bit more of a sillage, as it is very intimate. I know it is sold as intimate, so this is just my personal wish. The longevity is moderate, I can smell it on my skin during 4 hours or so. It does morph into a more musky, ambery warm scent with only hints of pear, as the pear is truly a topnote.
This is one of the yummy scents my woman says I own. The silliage is amazing she described it like Pepe Le Pew trailing me around. This is my forever date night scent
Nice amber but it has something in there almost like althair but nothing as sweet it's not in the vinilla but whatever helps make it amber. The silliage is where it's at with this.
Clive Christian knocked it out of the park with this fragrance. The only gripe i have its not worth the retail look for it on discounters or get a decant 600 is just to much for any fragrance
Strong cinnamon over a resinous, ambery base with saffron. Of course, there's no actual oud, but it's a lovely perfume, and quite different to the other MFK "ouds". After an hour this is leather. But not Tom Ford leather, this is realistic, worn Moroccan or Italian leather, like a bag bought from a souk that lasts for decades.
Picked up this from TJ Max for $12 and I'm blown away by how good it is. If you like the old school barber shop scents this is pretty damn good. For the price it's a blind buy I'm really liking. Lots of citrus and musks but not like lemony citrus more of a fresh take. I can't stress enough how impressed I am for a $12 fragrance
Great discontinued fragrance, a more mature take on the DNA.
Beautiful fragrance, A classic for a reason, a fruity pear and vanilla fragrance.
A Rebours is a scent I expected more from if I’m being honest, given the extensive and complex note breakdown. And whilst it’s not unpleasant by any means, it just comes off rather simple - leaving me wanting more. I should be clear in saying that this is not animalic, in any sense - I’m not sure why these notes are even listed when in fact it’s very easy-going. It’s a sort of fresh-metallic violet leaf paired with bitter-green florals and a soft soapiness, alongside a gentle whisper of leather and cumin. It’s not unpleasant as I said, it’s rather nice if anything. But it doesn’t stand out as anything special for me, I was expecting a lot more especially considering how unusual and unique the bottle is.
Intimate is a befitting name for such a sultry and suggestive perfume, a gloriously gentle musky floral, with pronounced elements of Chypre. An array of blooming white florals, namely jasmine, basking in sunny aldehydes greet you upon first spray. These shimmering florals are paired with a delicate creamy warmth through sandalwood and orris. Despite this, a punchy note of oakmoss bolsters through, which is intensely green and archaic - before developing a lustrous base of musk. This scent masters the enticingly dramatic dichotomy of delicate femininity, with primal sexual urges. I’m shocked it’s taken me this long to discover this beauty, but I’m hooked; I definitely need to find myself a bottle.
1740 is my first experience with the house of Histoires de Parfums; a wonderfully surprising woody leather scent with some unexpected oriental facets. Initially it opens rather bitter and harsh with a pronounced rindy bergamot and herbal artemisia, though it soon becomes much more inviting. The dry, vegetal nature of immortelle is paired with a beautifully thick, almost sappy leathery labdanum. This dry woodiness is furthered by an earthy patchouli, contrasted by the inimitable warmth of cardamom and creamy coriander, with just a touch of sweet vanilla. It’s magnificently complex. It has elements of classical chypres and orientals, combining characteristics of the golden age of French perfumery - but elevated to something slightly more contemporary and unique. This scent has really taken me by surprise, I think I adore it, and I’ll definitely need a bottle.
Sunny Day in Paradise
When I close my eyes, I imagine myself taking a dip in the cold sea in a sunny paradise. Coming out of the water and feeling the breeze on my face, I head towards the sand to drink my drink. That's the feeling! Perfect.
I was eager to try this perfume because of the combination of its notes. I had never felt this more "salty" aspect in a perfume. A very good perfume, I really liked this more marine and fruity touch. Right at the top, that salty sea aroma stands out, accompanied by citrus notes of lemon, bergamot and mandarin. During the drydown and evolution, the aroma remains clean, already pulling towards a much more sophisticated side due to the musk and the iris note. I was really impressed, I really liked its proposal and its balance.
Testing it in my decant here, the performance is actually "ok", considering the Creed house. But let's be honest, it could be better. Projection of 1 hour and fixation of around 6-8 hours, with a few good sprays. It really is a very different marine/citrus perfume in my perception. It is definitely worth trying.
For me this has a spicy, oceanic cola vibe to it.
With almost a faint tobacco vibe behind it.
Now that sounds a little weird but this fragrance has a class to it for sure..
I could easily wear this out on date night.
great aquatic fragrance. Popular for a reason!
Very aromatic, fresh woody fragrance! Amazing performance and great compliment pulling fragrance!
Very soft clean floral citric fragrance! Perfectly unisex!
Very creamy woods. Smells like a very rich cabin in the woods. Amazing! Doesn't project super loudly but its a very nice intimate scent profile.
Ginger ambroxan and citrus. All of that for 12 hours of longevity with good performance. Amazing!
Smells like Malibu, Super boozy coconut fagrance. Smells incredible! Doesn't last at all.
A very spicy take on the Aventus DNA, almost like layering spicebomb with aventus. The spices smell a little like Sauvage Elixir. Great longevity and projection on. my skin! Super expensive though.
Great amazing fresh citrus with woody and aromatic dry-down!
Super ginger heavy opening with a little citrus in the opening. Sweet vanilla dry-down, so addictive! Amazing!
Beautiful green fresh fragrance. Amazing fruity and citrus notes. A compliment getting machine, and good performance as well.
A very sweet, pear vanilla combination. Very loud, perfect for a night out.
The most versatile of the le beau line. A beautiful creamy coconut vanilla scent, deep enough to wear in the winter and fresh enough to wear it in the summer. Great amazing fragrance.
Green, fig and coconut. The best le beau, and probably the best JPG. I love this for a hot day and I love almost everything about this.
