Top: Lavender Heart: Vanilla Base: Musk
Scent Breakdown: - this opens up as a super authentic lavender, it's like smelling the flower up close, imagine walking through a lavender field, and lying down in the field and scent engulfs you. - after a few minutes, the scent develops to have a glowing sweetness, which gradually becomes more prominent as the scent develops, until in the drydown the sweet and smooth vanilla is the most prominent, leaving lavender in the background as a whisper - Overall the scent is a smooth, cozy, just a touch boozy, sweet vanilla with a backbone of lavender. - Sadly I don't pick up on any of the musk in the drydown, i'm not sure if this is due to my skin chemistry or if the scent has been reformulated and due to regulations on animalics, the musk is now at a very negligible level. I believe it maybe due to the later. One of my subscribers mentioned they could smell something smelling like bad breath in the drydown, which is the vibe I got from the musk in Siberian Musk III from Areej Le Dore, sadly I got no such musk. Other reviews I read on Fragrantica also mentioned the musk in the drydown.
Performance: I get around 6 hours of longevity, with strong projection for the first 3-4 hours, after which it sits closer to the skin. Personally I'm satisfied with the performance.
Seasons: I think overall the scent is best suited to the cooler months for me due to the soothing and comforting vanilla. I would see myself wearing this during the winter nights. It could also work fabulously well as a day time spring scent.
Occasions I would personally wear this as a date scent, casual scent and it could even work really well as a work scent due to the inoffensive scent.
