I've been openly critical of new designer releases for a while now. And for good reason (at least to me)

As someone who truly loves and appreciates the art of fragrances, I am disappointed to see the majority of the designer industry, which was once a reliable source of thoughtfulness and boundary-pushing, be reduced to one lazy release after another from brands who used to create beautifully unique perfumes. Why they're doing it is obvious. 💰

However, amidst the fog of redundancy, there are a number of well-established brands that are upholding their standards of excellence and making an effort to give us fragrances with depth and identity.
