My Signature

This to me starts with a camphorous cistus note and sweet vanilla. It is dry and airy; subtle. I feel like I should love this looking at the note list and I love amber It’s right up my alley but unfortunately its just not my cuppa.
What an odd fragrance. It‘s definitely unique in my collection. The first thing I picture is an old fishing/whaling boat with a deck that is freshly rinsed. It’s clean but there’s a kind of humid, mammalian feel to it as well. It doesn’t come off as inky to me but neither does Encree Noir. Maybe it’s squid ink. The honey note is kinda wee-wee like but it’s pleasant. The more I wear this the more I like it.
I don’t think it’s the most original or groundbreaking. That being said it exudes class as Chanel does. It opens with sparkling citrus that gives way to white florals and soft musk. Orris root gives this a deep and earthy complexity.
This was my signature scent for a few years in the 90’s. I still really like it and can really say I understand how that was such an influential frag for me. I still gravitate towards the warn spicy ambers. I’d like to say my taste has progressed but that must have struck a chord for me. I like many different types of fragrances (florals, animalics, green, and so on) but many of my most favorites are gorgeous, warm ambers. Thanks Obsession!
It smells like early morning in the garden. It’s gorgeous, crisp and very green. Cutting dewy stems of roses.
I fell in love with this back in 2003 and still love it. Back then it reminded me of a Catholic Church. I was obsessed. I still pick that up but it is so much more than just a church scent. Big, rich, complex, and sexy as all get out. Hot priest vibes.
I expected this to be like CdG Avignon but wow it’s not like it at all. This is really pretty and floral I’m getting jasmine and iris. It becomes a bit sweet with amber notes. I really like this.
Not having known the original I must say I absolutely love this one. Very dry, almost desert like. There are florals here which are just under the radar but gorgeous all the same. I pick up a petrol note which is understated but sexy. Cumin is very prevalent in the dry down and super attractive as well. Leather is new. Feels like it may be tannic as well.
