Top 20 Fougere / Barbershop Fragrances | My Favorite Classy Fougere / Barbershop Colognes
This is my Top 20 Fougere / Barbershop Fragrances video for 2019. So first off what is a fougere fragrance? Typically fougere fragrances have the notes of lavender, geranium, oakmoss and tonka bean/coumarin. The first fougere fragrance was created in the late 1800s by Paul Parquet for Houbigant. It was called Fougere Royale. He wanted to create the scent of a fern that fern's never really had. So ferns do not have a scent so fougere means fern and so fougere fragrances are meant to smell like a fern if a fern had a scent or smell. So these fragrances featured in this video are all lavender dominant but there are some unusual cases of fragrances that are not lavender heavy so they are unique creations. Either way I love fougere, I love the way barbershop fragrances smell and I have many here that you can find out about. BTW do you like fougere fragrances?
