The stigma is a decade out of date. Celebrity perfume used to mean a famous face stapled onto sugar water at the chemist's till, and plenty of those bottles earned the sneer — but the category quietly got serious, with real perfumers and real budgets behind it. The ten below aren't good for a celebrity fragrance; they're good, full stop.
Four things separate the winners from the merch:
by isn't just the best celebrity fragrance of the past decade — it's one of the best fragrances of the past decade, full stop. The up top is what keeps the and from going syrupy, and that and base gives it the whipped, cushioned quality everyone latches onto. It's earned comparisons to Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Baccarat Rouge 540 at a tenth of the price — they share an airy sweetness rather than a formula, but at that gap in cost, who's arguing? The honest downside: it's been worn so widely it's become a signature-scent cliché.
Who it's for: Anyone who likes sweetness cushioned rather than sticky. The safest bet on this list.
by is the one that proved this category could be grown-up. Launched in 2005 and still selling strong, it sands and down with into something closer to clean linen than perfume, and the dry-down stops that restraint tipping into blandness. Restraint is the whole design, which is why it ages so slowly.
Who it's for: Quiet musky elegance. Wear it to work.
by didn't just sell — it created the modern celebrity fragrance industry. The and sit so close to the skin they read as soap more than bouquet, and the with its warm base is what keeps the whole thing from evaporating. More than two decades on it still holds up — though "holds up" is the honest ceiling. It's pleasant. It was never thrilling.
Who it's for: Skin-scent people who'd rather smell clean than perfumed.
by surprised everyone. Against a market drowning in fruity florals it went dark and woody — and with and soft spice underneath, warm without the bakery sweetness those notes usually drag along. The bottle is a bronze chest sculpture and a genuine collector's piece. Rarely for a celebrity launch, the juice deserves the packaging.
Who it's for: Warm gourmand-leaning unisex. Winter, evening, close quarters.
by is loud on purpose, and better for it. and with over , and — and that patchouli is doing the heavy lifting, dragging the fruit away from body-spray territory. It lasts, it smells expensive, and it punches well above its price point. Don't wear it to a meeting.
Who it's for: Anyone who wants a show-stopping evening fragrance without the niche price tag.
by earns its name. and get wrapped in , and , and the result projects generously without ever bullying a room. The red bottle became an icon. The scent inside is more conservative than the campaign ever suggested — which is probably why it's still on bathroom shelves worldwide.
Who it's for: Warm fragrance lovers after something radiant and unmistakably feminine.
is where stopped writing pop hooks and started writing perfume. Cloud is cosy; this one is earthy, with and pulled down by and warmed with and . The formula is 91% naturally derived, vegan and clean — and rarer than it should be, the constraint hasn't made it smell thin.
Who it's for: Clean beauty enthusiasts who want a woody floral with some spine.
by is the most underrated bottle here. and layered over , and — a gourmand floral that's often been compared to niche fragrances costing many times more, and the comparison survives closer inspection. The name and the bottle do it no favours. That's the only reason you've overlooked it.
Who it's for: Gourmand lovers hunting an affordable gem with serious longevity.
by launched as the world's first black-coloured fragrance, which was a gimmick, and it worked. What's underneath is honeyed and dark — and over and a creamy base — art-project weird without ever becoming unwearable. Few celebrity releases since have taken a swing this size.
Who it's for: People who want something odd that still gets compliments.
by is the late arrival that embarrasses most debut launches. and sit on , with a lift of sparkle up top. It's built to comfort rather than impress — a legitimate ambition, and it lands. Proof it's never too late to enter the fragrance game.
Who it's for: Anyone who loves a feel-good floral over a cosy vanilla base.
These didn't quite crack the top 10 but still deserve a sniff:
Dismissing this category as a cash grab is now just lazy. The best celebrity perfumes of 2026 come from real craftsmanship and a point of view, with ingredients that rival — and occasionally beat — designer competition at half the price or less.
If you're buying one and only one, make it Cloud: it's the most accomplished thing here, cliché status and all. If you already own something in that lane, Fancy is the smarter money and Eilish is the more distinctive choice. Skip Glow unless you specifically want a soapy skin scent; its importance to the category outstrips how exciting it is to wear.
