Miskeo Parfums is more than just a perfume brand—it's an exploration of the human spirit, the art of blending, and the joy of creation. The brand's name, MISKEO, takes inspiration from the Latin verb Misceō, meaning "to mix, to blend, to join." This simple yet profound concept is at the heart of Miskeo's approach to perfumery, where crafting a fragrance is seen as a joyful, playful process. Each scent becomes a blend of sensations, transforming materials into something far greater than the sum of their parts.

But Miskeo's philosophy reaches far beyond modern Latin roots. The word Misceō draws on even older Indo-European language origins, symbolizing humanity's ancient desire to create and manifest. It serves as a reminder of perfumery's millennia-old history, a craft deeply woven into the fabric of human culture. This ancient inspiration underscores Miskeo's mission: to connect the past and present through the art of scent.

Meet the Creative Minds Behind Miskeo

At the helm of Miskeo is Marie-Pierre Blanchette, a self-taught perfumer from Montréal, Canada, who brings a unique and unconventional flair to the brand. With a background in anthropology, art direction, and design, Marie's creative path is anything but traditional. She began her journey by crafting bespoke fragrances for private clients, refining her technique through intuition, trial and error, and a passion for discovery.

Marie's influences are diverse and eclectic, ranging from dramatic landscapes and mythology to 70s music, abstract art, and the occult. This fusion of artistic and cultural references lends Miskeo's creations a sense of depth and mystery. She aims to craft perfumes that not only smell exquisite but also evoke powerful emotions and personal transformations. Every scent from Miskeo tells a story, inviting wearers to embody new roles and experiences, much like an actor stepping onto a stage.

Pep Dalessandri, Miskeo's evaluator, adds another layer of sensory expertise. With six years of experience talking about fragrances across various social media platforms, Pep has cultivated an instinctive, unburdened approach to experiencing perfumery. His background in the arts allows him to draw connections between perfumery and other sensory art forms, bringing a fresh perspective to the fragrance world. Working with Miskeo was a natural next step in his journey, allowing him to apply his passion and knowledge in an exciting new context.

The Freedom of Creativity: Miskeo's Philosophy

As an independent brand, Miskeo takes pride in its complete creative control. Without the constraints of corporate expectations, the brand is free to embody its values, break traditional rules, and chart its own path. This creative freedom allows Marie and her team to craft bold, imaginative fragrances that stand out from the crowd, offering a sensory escape for those who wear them.
