The body sprays are nuclear and from £20 up .. the small bottles are perfume are around £30 (for 30ml) but you don't need a lot.

Get the Discovery set from Mystikum Berlin, You get beautiful glass viles 3ml, with a wide range of niche beauties! And a discount when you choose a 100ml That you like/love. And it challenges you in thinking about unisex/male/female in fragrances. The same goes for Barutti.

A favorite that i wish i knew sooner: Nostos from Etat Libre d’orange. it’s not cheap, but it gives so much in versatility and it developes beautifully.

I love that you are getting into fragrance! I totally agree with the other comments. Discovery sets are awesome to get to know a specific brand and I've also ordered individual samples from places like Scent Split if I can't find something in store I want to smell.

Sometimes places like TJMaxx and Ross have great prices on designer perfume (but the problem is you can't smell them first).

Don't get into the trap of blind buying! It is a waste of money.

I also love travel sizes and I only buy full bottles of perfumes I really love. Once you build up your collection a bit, you really don't need more than a 10 mil of something. And if you run out then you know you love it and can get a bigger bottle, but often times I'm glad I didn't buy a full bottle because I don't love it as much as I hoped. I also like when brands have a 30 mil or 50 mil size. I really never need 100 mils and even if the price per mil is higher in the small bottles it is worth it to me because I'll never go through it all.

I know this sounds sketchy, but I've gotten great prices on some of my wishlist items on perfume facebook groups.

Some great affordable brands that I like are: sniff, Universal Flowering, Essential Parfumes, Maison Louis Marie, Demeter, etc

Don't waste your money on dupes (most of the time). Any time I've gotten one, I've still wanted the OG and I don't enjoy it as much as I picture. It might seem like a great deal at first, but they add up and are never quite as satisfying.

Hi there!

if you’re new to this hobby i’d recommend buying samples online, or trying out scents by visiting actual stores.

A lot of people who get into fragrances initially get caught up in buying a bunch of full bottles they regret later on.

Rochas and Guerlain are both really great and they might be on the cheap(er) side as someone else mentioned here, but whatever price something has won’t really matter when you’re starting out. You might end up buying 20 florals only to find out you actually love wearing perfumes with zero florals.

If I were you I’d start sampling before pulling the trigger on full bottles. Try some designer and niche. Try out some of the common categories; floral, fresh, sweet, spicy, woody etc.

And don’t count out frags that are marketed towards the other gender. If you like how something smells then go for it! It’s your nose and your body.

Good luck!

Hello there! Some nice inexpensive picks could be something from Le Monde Gourmand, Snif or maybe Bon Parfumeur. Lots of "classics" are also relatively cheap, for example Rochas or the Aqua Allegoria line from Guerlain (also other Guerlain staples).

what are everyones favorites currently?

I am knew to fragrance spaces, I usually was just a throw on body spray as I walk out the door, but last year my boyfriend bought me my first real perfume (mod vanilla). I recently also bought by the fireplace replica and Phlurs missing person. I don’t have a big budget as I am just an unemployed teenager so recommendations that are affordable or availible in travel sizes are preferred, but I love reading reviews and seeing how passionate scents make people
