This is a lot more versatile than I was expecting it to be. I didn’t have any real experience with Bleu Electrique, what this is cloning, but like almost everyone a few years deep into this hobby I DO with the original La Nuit, and that to me was strictly a date/special occasion perfume. This profile’s got a REALLY approachable everyday quality to it that I wasn’t expecting, a nice zingy-ness that makes it work casually just as well as it does on a smart night out. I suppose the fact the original’s got “Bleu” in it should have tipped me off on that really.
The name says it all. Upon first spray, you are hit with a very smooth ginger aroma. It dries down very fast, at least on my skin. The warming tones are very mass appealing, almost giving off a hint of spicy vanilla. The only drawback is the longevity...maybe 4 hours on skin. You will need to reapply this one. This is a fragrance that I would consider wearing all year round, for any occasion. Very good fragrance. Blind buy worthy.
Ambroxan overdose with Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, some pepper and herbs sprinkled on top.
This is incredible! As a man in his 30s that DOES NOT like leather, this really took me by surprise. This is grown up sexy, masculine, robust, sweet leather. Wow this is easily niche level ish right here!
Reminds me of blackcurrant liquorice sweets.
Lovely opening, doesn't last long enough for me unless I literally cover myself in it.
Love it. Reminds me of my childhood due to the floral with rose and carnation being my mothers favourite flowers.
Floral but not too feminine, really nice easy going, non-offensive scent.
Nice, fresh aquatic. This is something different in my "collection" for me. Love the bottle, like the scent, wish it lasted longer on my skin.
Fresh, spicy, decent longevity and manly. Really like this, the original Gravitas is good, but with the added freshness, this is my preferred version.
Supreme L'Homme Extreme is a toned down dupe in the space of the Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Extreme profile. Creamy almond with Plum. The Scent profile is close, but not as refined. For $20 it gets you in the ballpark.
I liked the dry down more than the opening with this one. I didn’t get the intense vetiver though. It opens like mosquito repellent and dries down to something a lot like Prada Luna Rossa Carbon to my nose. Very much a modern crowd pleaser that is quite mall-friendly. Not bad at all, but not distinct enough to grab my attention or move me. Cool bottle and great sprayer.
Ombré Leather changes over the course of the day for sure. The first opening smelled like a confident classy rich guy with his stuff together. The mid smelled too sweet like something a sugar daddy type guy would wear. By this point I knew I’d never want to wear it again. In the base it held on to my wrist even after the shower and into the next day. I even doused my wrist with vintage Quorum and this damn perfume reared it’s fuzzy little head the next morning when the Quorum wore off. The base is the most feminine part where I’d say it becomes too soft and sweet for my taste. It’s not one I’d put on before I knew I was doing any hard work, as it can become cloying and too strong to the point it might make you feel a little sick. It’s best suited for a classy man or woman on a date night 40+ in my opinion. Cool night preferred, and light on the sprays 1-2 tops. Great performance and insane longevity. Not bad, just not my vibe.
This is an incredibly solid spring/summer fragrance. The longevity is far better than I would have expected, and it does project fairly well. The only drawback would be that Azzaro is not breaking any new ground with this fragrance. It's pretty similar to a number of clean/marine style scents. But, this is sure to find a spot in my summer rotation.
My thoughts are off a bottle from the mid-90's but I imagine this could apply to versions from the 80's-2020 or so, and simply put they are that this is beautiful men's perfume. On my skin I get the herbs and myrrh that opens up in to a rose that is not to floral and then the castoreum hits and I can't get enough of it. It is just what an elegant man should smell like with a hint of rouge or rebelliousness in his attitude. I wish I was the image of what I envision the man who wears this is, however, guess I will just have to settle with smelling like him.
Spicy cola vibes right out of the gate...then...nothing.
Such an opulent, vinatge smelling perfume! And so much better, to me, than the OG Shalimar.
L'Homme Ideal EDP is my favorite from. The line. That cherry note, along with the creamy almond has me popping the cap to take a whiff almost every day. It's in my top 3 fragrances, in my collection. The others in my top three... Pasha de Cartier Parfum and Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privée.
I cannot get enough of Reserve Privée. One of my most complimented fragrances. Love the bold Iris, along with the chestnut & whiskey note
Pasha de Cartier Parfum is one of my favorite fragrances.
A true chic fragrance. Very effortlessly chic, soft, with an edge. Very unique and i absolutely love it.
Opens with a beautiful sultry resinous vanilla before becoming a patchouli bomb. Absolutely love those resinous vanilla notes and hope they'll become stronger once given some time to macerate
Got this for $35 at a local shop, and i can say that it was probably the best $35 I've spent. So much better than CDNIM, not offensive or rough to the nose like cdnim can be in the opening. smells similar to creed but definitely not the same. wish it performed better though. 8/10
The sweetness and the mint can be a bit too much, but the dry down is lovely imo. thinking of buying another bottle of this. 8/10
Love at first sniff. will definitely buy another bottle of this when it's done. the mango and black currant twist on the leather is perfected here in my opinion. 9.4/10
Simply, a masterpiece. timeless, and also lasts a decade. 9/10
