Goldea the Roman Night, from Bvlgari was released in 2017. The perfumer behind this creation is Alberto Morillas. It has the top notes of Bergamot, Mulberry, and Pepper, middle notes of Night Blooming Jasmine, Peony, Rose, and Tuberose, and base notes of Musk, Oakmoss, Patchouli, and Vetiver.
It is amazing how much impressions of the same product can differ. I, too, am among those who fell in love with this Goldea at the first spray, finding it disorienting, charming, elegant, glamorous, high-heeled, and fashionable evening dress... only to pause in skeptical limbo as to which direction the fragrance was going (or if it was even fading). But because of this violent disappointment, I wanted to delve deeper and brought home the mouillette, along with others of other floral chypre, and somewhat playfully suggested them to friends and family. And surprise of surprises: 7 out of 7 people preferred Goldea, in almost instant time (women and men of different ages). Not only that, it seems that my lightning strike from that first minute made an appearance on all of them as well, albeit many hours after the top notes. It was described as classy, assertive, sexy and elegant. Two girls told me they would buy it. In conclusion, it is a perfume whose habituation comes really quite early especially for the wearer, but if you can preserve its longevity (I will try spraying it on body lotion) it will maintain a remarkable impact of undisputed success.
