Bergamot with musk, beautiful smell, and incredible performance! Great fragrance!
Very prominent Bergamot note in the opening. and very musky dry down. Powerful fragrance, performs incredibly well!
I really wanted to like this, and i don't mind the tangy citrus in the opening, but this is generally a fog of ingredients trying to out do each other in longevity. No matter how well this performs, it still has to smell good, and to me, this lacks in naturality and coherence.
Bright, strong, green citrus. Herbal green lavender, delicate white flowers. Woody and almostly lactonic sandalwood rounding everything. There's a spicyness which could be Tonka, or just the overdose of aromachemicals.
The musk is a skin like quality, like a warm soft baby's head.
Bergamask is borderline nasal assault, an unapologetic barrage on the senses and one that I’m not necessarily sure I enjoy. Why does this get so much hype? I fail to see what the appeal here is, aside from the brutally strong performance which people seem to cherish above all else. It’s just an overdose of bergamot and lemon, and not in a good way. It’s rough, screechy and quite frankly, disastrous. It comes off like you’ve spilled lemon-scented surface cleaner on yourself. I read that the culprit for its monstrous longevity and projection is javanol, a synthetic sandalwood molecule. It’s not challenging in any way, it’s not ‘ultra-niche’, it’s just a poor fragrance. People describe Alessandro Gaultieri as a creative genius, I’m not seeing that here - all I’m seeing is someone who needs to scream for attention and threw together a handful of messy aroma-chemicals in a hurry.
My co worker walked into our large open plan office this morning and immediately exclaimed ‘it stinks in here’. These molecules like to travel. I like the frag. It’s a bit sweaty, like giving your brother a hug and realising he hasn’t showered yet. But yeah, he’s your bro and you love him, so it’s ok. Max two squirts for the office. Definitely not four, ok?
