I have a bottle from the release year, and every time I wear it I’m reminded just how intoxicating and almost decadent this fragrance is. The opening is dense, warm and very sweet. The official notes list honey and peach, but my nose imagines something quite different, as if there were a plate of orange and cherry Jaffa cakes in front of me, covered in a thick layer of indulgent dark chocolate. It’s probably the fruity accord combined with coffee and honey that creates this dessert like illusion. As the fragrance develops, creamy vanilla and a touch of vetiver join the coffee, adding depth and a subtle elegance to the composition. The scent remains warm, enveloping and very sensual, a bit like a late evening with a cup of espresso and a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Longevity on my skin is around six hours, with a noticeable projection, especially during the first few hours. It definitely belongs to the sweeter, heavier fragrances, but it never becomes cloying or overwhelming.
