Eau de Charlotte is a nice light gourmand scent, you really smell that this was made in 1982, it has this old-fashioned touch, especially in the opening. I get a mix of Lily and Lily of the valley from the top notes, which seems to be pretty strong, but it fades away after a few minutes. Then it turns to a light and powdery scent, where a fresh/buttery kind of cacao and a whiff of berries dominates. There is not really something 'sweet' although there is vanilla in the base note. I would describe the dry down as a fresh floral-cacao scent. Very enjoyable to wear. The lasting power is a bit sad, maybe the EDP version has a better lasting power.
