Many "extraits" seem to be just money grabs

So I thought Encens Suave Extrait would be an even more beguiling genie in a bottle. I know the hack of layering your skin with Fractionated Coconut Oil (a GREAT fragrance hack) before the scent so the molecules lock in and anchor themselves before getting sucked into the skin biodome black hole.

But I was disappointed. The Extrait just seemed to hover barely above a skin scent. Same thing with Santal Austral Extrait from the same house.

I learned a valuable ($) lesson. Sometimes the edp is actually quite "stronger" than the "extrait" or "intense" or whatever name the marketing geniuses can conjure up. I suppose for intimate moments the closer "skin scent" might be the sought for effect. But I just like people in the same room to experience the magic of a finely crafted witches brew faintly whispering in the air.

Brand new mobile apps

We have rebuilt our mobile apps from scratch to be much much faster. Especially on older devices. Look out for version 3.0.0. They are natively written and deliver much more smoother experience. They support tablets and landscape modes and each version better fits their mobile system they are on.

Let me know any issues you may have with them and we will fix them asap.

The lemon is sometimes way to much

The exact smell of dunking Gentilini Oswego biscuits into a glass of milk. Very buttery. Cozy. This eau de parfum has a definite weight to it. Warm and enveloping and cocooning. No fuss no high concept but does wonderfully what is supposed to do. Lingers on skin. Very edible but you have to have a taste for butter and all things dairy and sweet.

Regarding sweetness to my nose it manages to smell distinctly sweet without veering into saccharine and cloying territory. It’s sweet more like a shortbread than like a frosted cupcake.

The name "Another Oud" is not quite right for this fragrance; this cat could indeed be that other oud. And despite the fact that the scent is far from being only about oud, it serves as the structural base onto which other aspects are strung: spice, notes of menthol, cinnamon, praline, rose, heliotrope, amber, benzoin. It brings together seemingly incompatible, disparate scents.

Although the fragrance is very distinctive, unconventional, and may not appeal to everyone, I would recommend it to those who want to fall in love with the note of oud in perfumery; here it is very soft, enveloping, like thick jam slowly sliding down the walls of a jar.
