This was one I sampled from Sephora in Kohl’s in the middle of a day of yard work. It was really clean, refreshing and enjoyable. I don’t think anyone will get offended by this. It’s really likeable. More Aunts and Moms should be gifting this to their sons and nephews. Skip the Sauvages, The Bleu De Chanels, and the Dylan Blues. This deserves more of a presence in public. Update: I tested this again the second time and I’m bored with it. It’s pretty safe and simple. Glad I didn’t buy it. Not bad, just doesn’t move me. Good longevity though.

Tom Ford is clearly giving a nod to fragrances of the past with this one. Really strong stuff. For me the sharp woody spicy pine combines with the soft spicy rosemary and patchouli gave it a sort of mature medicinal smell that wasn’t one that I ended up enjoying on myself. It felt a little too mature for me, and I love older stuff like Agua Brava (1968). Smells like an explorer or a professor that spends his days either in a study surrounded by mahogany furniture and old maps. One that laughs through his big mustache “Hmbrr brr mbrr!”

Very happy I blind bought this. Quite a beauty. I can’t see anyone not liking this. It’s polite and well behaved. It’s fresh and clean, slightly floral, and just unique enough to warrant a purchase. The bergamot and basil stand out to me the most. Does it have a distinct personality?… Maybe not as much as others in my wardrobe, but this is a great starter fragrance for a collection. It will blend into a crowd and be enjoyed by others. If you are buying the one pictured here with the tall frosted glass and the silver domed atomizer, hoping it smells like Bowling Green, it doesn’t. I’m guessing that was the vintage one? Either way this one gets slept on and it deserves more play in public. I probably wouldn’t drop more than 40 bucks on it personally, but I’ll enjoy it on warmer days and it performs really well on skin and lasts a long time. Appropriate for any age really. Might end up giving this one to my son, or at least letting him wear it whenever he likes.

I liked the dry down more than the opening with this one. I didn’t get the intense vetiver though. It opens like mosquito repellent and dries down to something a lot like Prada Luna Rossa Carbon to my nose. Very much a modern crowd pleaser that is quite mall-friendly. Not bad at all, but not distinct enough to grab my attention or move me. Cool bottle and great sprayer.

Ombré Leather changes over the course of the day for sure. The first opening smelled like a confident classy rich guy with his stuff together. The mid smelled too sweet like something a sugar daddy type guy would wear. By this point I knew I’d never want to wear it again. In the base it held on to my wrist even after the shower and into the next day. I even doused my wrist with vintage Quorum and this damn perfume reared it’s fuzzy little head the next morning when the Quorum wore off. The base is the most feminine part where I’d say it becomes too soft and sweet for my taste. It’s not one I’d put on before I knew I was doing any hard work, as it can become cloying and too strong to the point it might make you feel a little sick. It’s best suited for a classy man or woman on a date night 40+ in my opinion. Cool night preferred, and light on the sprays 1-2 tops. Great performance and insane longevity. Not bad, just not my vibe.

Spicy cola vibes right out of the gate...then...nothing.

Love this on my wife. I miss the scent of sweet pea on her from the discontinued Bath and Body works perfume. This one has slightly more going on in terms of its fruity floral aspects and is a little more flirty and less pillowy.

First thing I’ve smelled that Rosendo Mateu worked on that I didn’t love. I heard that there was a big cumin note that was really challenging. I got a mini dabber bottle. I got none of it. Instead I got main notes I hate in perfumes. That dingy 80’s cinnamon note found in things like Halston Z-14, ODL Pour Lui, and Bijan man, and a loud ambery/powder note I also find to be sickening. I wanted to like this. This is really dated and likely to be enjoyed by nobody near you. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

My mom's signature scent throughout my teenage years. I recently bought her a full size bottle for her birthday. She only had a mini in her bathroom and hadn't worn it in years. She was thrilled and immediately doused herself in it. Her smile was beaming. She was in the recovery center at the hospital at the time and had made quick friends with two other ladies there. She showed it to one and she asked her kids to get her a bottle for her next birthday. It smells like a well rounded approachable person. I may need to buy a bottle for myself, so I can bring my mom to work. She's a freaking cool lady.

For sure a love at first sniff for me. Like putting your face into a tin bucket of iced tea with some freshly cut celery leaves thrown in. Probably the best scent to wear if you want to feel refreshed. People around you will love it. The only thing in my wardrobe that my wife says she plans on stealing sprays of. Exhudes a modest confidence and an approachability lacking in many modern fragrances. Green, a little sharp, juicy, pretty straightforward, definitely worth a full bottle or blind buy I'd say. Mrs. Meyers cleaning products makes a dish soap called "pear tree" that smells 90% similar to my nose. If you love uplifting daytime scents that smell natural, seek this one out. My wife gives it an 8.5/10. (I think Agua Brava is the only one she's ever rated a 10.)
