“The starting point for Spice D'Arno is the city of Florence, through which the Arno river flows. Particularly inspired by this city and its rich history, I wanted to work with one of its emblems, a full-grain leather, soft and velvety, which I sublimated by combining it with mystical resins and balsams like myrrh, olibanum, labdanum and gurjun. Another wink to Florence is the hint of iris, with which I added a subliminal floral facet to the fragrance. As an allegory of the Arno River, I played on the subtle balance between fresh spices like pink pepper, cardamom and warm spices like saffron and vanilla, remnants of the treasures once transported on this eternal river. Finally, to seal the fragrance's long lastingness, I added a touch of oud, for an elegant, powerful trail.” - Celine Barel
