The New Dior Bois d’Argent Is Shockingly Good
Dior has been catching a lot of heat lately, and honestly, they earned some of it. Between the disappointing Dior Homme Parfum update and the confusing moves inside the Privé line, the house has been all over the place. But when something actually smells great, I’ll say so. And Bois d’Argent Esprit de Parfum surprised me in the best way.
In this video, I unbox and review the brand-new Bois d’Argent Esprit de Parfum, created by Francis Kurkdjian for the Privé line. I compare it to my 2018 bottle, revisit the original Annick Menardo version from 2004, and break down what changed, what improved, and what Dior finally got right. The new Esprit de Parfum takes the airy, honeyed, resinous structure of the classic and turns it richer, denser, smokier, and much more concentrated. Expensive? Yes. Worth smelling? Definitely.
I also do a second unboxing of a limited edition bottle from a designer. This is a massive 490 ml citrus fragrance with classic Italian cologne DNA, bright neroli and orange blossom, zingy citruses, and a nostalgic vibe that took me straight back to the bottles my dad used to wear. It is a limited edition, and with all the drama around Kering selling its beauty division to L’Oréal, this one may never return.
