In perfumery, sometimes we DO get what we pay for. That can go both ways--sometimes we pay a lot of money for a fragrance, the quality lives up to the price, thus we feel like we got a great value. Contrarily, sometimes in an effort to avoid paying high prices for expensive fragrances, we pay a very low price for a dupe...and subsequently realize that the fragrance smells like $30 we spent. So the question is: is it possible to pay less money for alternatives (not clones) to expensive fragrances, and still get great quality and value for the price we pay?
