Here's a new fragrance house Olfactory NYC based out of you guessed it NYC. This is a first impressions review of Olfactory NYC fragrances Reed and Hunter. A truly unique concept similar to the luxury perfume brand, Le Labo owned by the Estee Lauder Corporation. But Olfactory NYC takes the Le Labo concept to a whole new level. They can customize fragrances for you in house so you have your own truly unique and original fragrance! WOOHOO. I love this concept. I just wished Le Labo did it but now it's done by Olfactory NYC.
The concept behind the brand is to make luxury fine fragrances more fun, colorful, and accessible. Each fragrance runs from $50 (original) to $75 (customized), and they mix, bottle, and package everything in-house for you.
Reed: A chypre, woody floral blend of Clearwood (a type of patchouli) with an elegant rosy chypre structure. Notes of rose, lily, sage, orris root soften the earthier Clearwood. Hint of mandarin on the top Perfumer - Harry Freemont (also created CK One and Yves Saint Laurent - Mon Paris)
Hunter: Notes of Raw Vanilla are balanced by notes of cedarwood and black peppercorn. Peruvian Ambrette, musk and angelica seed give the fragrance ambition and addiction Perfumer - Ilias Ermenidis (also created Gucci, Blue Label - Givenchy, and Heavenly - Victorias Secret)
