I strongly believe in these two ideas:

1️⃣ Not all fragrances from niche brands are niche fragrances.

2️⃣ Not all fragrances from designer brands are mainstream fragrances.

You might disagree with these statements. And that is what today’s video is for—to start a conversation.

Definitions are helpful. They assign meaning. But painting broadstrokes with them can be blinding:

“if something is this, then it is absolutely not that”.

Is that always true?

I choose to evaluate "niche" vs. "mainstream" on a fragrance-by-fragrance basis. This leaves room for nuance within the aforementioned terms.

There are many designer fragrances that are more "niche" than certain "niche" fragrances. Are they still mainstream simply because they come from designer brands?

All of this is my opinion, of course.
