Modern mainstream fragrances are generally created to be easy to wear, to be accessible so that many people will buy them, and to be appealing to as many passerby as possible, so that the wearer may receive positive feedback.

Many of these fragrances are frankly created with a lot of the same elements, and as a result, many of them smell similar these days.

Here online, it is often preached that these are the fragrances one should buy if they seek compliments. I've already spoken on this at length in other videos, but I find it problematic at best to buy fragrances with this purpose as the top priority.

In my opinion, the wearer's enjoyment and intrigue about their fragrance should be their primary objective, with compliments being a pleasant bonus. This makes for a much more fulfilling experience.

If you can open your mind to this perspective, you begin to seek fragrances that you actually love...no matter what anyone else may think of them. However, in this video, I'm sharing with you six fragrances that fall in this category...but they actually get me compliments when I wear them.

That's right--you can have your cake and eat it too. You can seek fragrances that have focus and identity, that move you, that aren't trying to please...and you can still get compliments.
