This is a completely futile video, but I had too much fun making it. And I am genuinely interested in the discussion!
For several years now, many designer brands have released flankers of their most popular fragrances, and have called them "new" releases.
You and I both know why they do this. 🤑
But the aspect of the flanker race that makes me scratch my head the most is what I call the "concentration game"--that is, brands using fragrance concentration as the basis for their subsequent flankers (i.e. eau de parfum, parfum, elixir, etc.)
There are several very successful fragrance collections that have just about exhausted the possible concentrations and their respective titles, namely the Dior Sauvage collection.
So my question remains-- how much further can they go? What is next? Let me know what you think!
