I know some of you are already responding with "how can a fragrance be too strong? The stronger, the better!"

I disagree.

All too often, the value of a fragrance is equated with its performance. This happens when we treat fragrance products the same way we treat other depreciable products, like cars and clothing: the longer these physical items last us, the more we are getting for our money, allegedly.

I've explained this in previous videos (namely this one: https://youtu.be/EAmB4WS_x8A), but strength is not the top mark of a great-value fragrance. Fragrances are created intentionally, with intended functions. It is not necessary for every fragrance to outlast everyone you know and love while on your skin, and be detectable in the next county over.

The 8 fragrances in this video all smell very good to varying degrees...but I wouldn't be upset if they were just a little quieter. Nonetheless, I recommend you check them out if their scents sound remotely interesting to you!
