Today, I’m diving into four fragrances from ZILLI, a luxury French menswear house with a quietly impressive scent line that’s tough to find in the U.S. (hello, Jomashop delays…). Here’s the lineup:
04:27 ZILLI BLUE TITANIUM (2020, Delphine Lebeau) - 100ml/$65
Fresh aquatic fougère with ozonic/citrus spice. Clean, wearable, a bit mass-market for me.
Reminiscent of: GUY LAROCHE DRAKKAR BLEU and YSL Y
07:36 ZILLI CACHEMIRE NOIR (2020, Delphine Lebeau) - 100ml/$60
The star. Benzoin, cinnamon, iris/orris, myrrh, vanilla, ylang-ylang. Warm, amber-resinous, balsamic, powdery, subtly sweet. Addictive and backup-worthy.
11:16 ZILLI CUIR IMPERIAL (2020, Delphine Lebeau) - 100ml/$60
Leathered take on that crowd-pleasing spicy-amber DNA. Classy, masculine, not overly sweet.
Reminiscent of: MAUBOUSSIN STAR FOR MEN, PARFUMS DE MARLY LAYTON and LALIQUE WHITE IN BLACK
13:47 ZILLI ÉCLAT DE CUIVRE (2022, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni) - 100ml/$70
Cardamom + amber resins (elemi, incense, tolu), patchouli, woods, citrus lift. Fresh-spicy meets balsamic amber.
