This is quite simple, not too complex. I get lots of green tea, a dry powdered ginger and delicate orange blossom. It dries down with a big dose of vanilla. It’s not sweet. It’s fluffy and cozy and leans fem. Performance seems pretty strong and I like it. If you're into tea scents, this is definitely worth your time. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
Wearing this to the gym (pm) after applying early morning. It’s been quiet all day, enjoyable nonetheless. However now it’s projecting like a steam train fuelled by ambroxan and musks. Might even be a little too much but I like it. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
This floral amber opens with a blast of indolic, animalic, fiery jasmine set ablaze by pink pepper. Carine is zhuzhed up with rose and gardenia, while the patchouli hints at a raw and wild soul. All the while, cashmeran and vetiver exude elegance and refinement. For me it’s a beautiful balancing act that perfectly conveys someone equally artistic and stylish. Along with a clean natural oud, the power is coming from cumin, hay, immortelle and unsweetened honey. It’s absolutely packed full of high quality LMR naturals and it feels like it. It’s full strength, and I can understand why some reviewers have struggled with it, but I adore it. It feels classy yet wild. The hay and immortelle mean it would work equally as well in hot weather as it does on cooler days. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
Stunning aldehydes and a big powdery blast to begin with. Dries down into something really really stunning and quite unisex. Fans of powdery fragrances and orris should make a note of this. Quality is fab! Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
A beautiful almost gourmand milky sandalwood, with references to DVN Malle. Gentler and less abrasive and not so biscuity, this is really what I wanted from both the aforementioned fragrance and Kilian’s Sacred Wood. A much better representation of Mysore and a must try for fans of sandalwood. Not sure where the first reviewer gets all the salt, but her friend seems closer with “cheerios”! To me Force evokes the feeling of beautiful artists studios, empty spaces full of the potential for creativity. The sense of clay work happening recently and dried paint. Or of a forest clearing blanketed in mist. It’s the stillness of these pictures, yet they somehow manifest a certain life energy. It begins with a wintery air of delicate mint then a distant flicker of church incense. There’s smoke amidst evergreens. The orris is earthy and barely perceptible. I must say the quality of the juice is really high across the range, but this is my standout. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
Wow, this is so powerful and complex in the opening moments. There’s a noticeable oud accord, a beaut of a coffee note, and a familiar cardamom and nutmeg combo all lifted by spicy black pepper. It’s dense and woody before the magnolia enters and there on in, it turns into a sparkly, ambery, woody, pretty thing. Very wearable, quite universal gender-wise and it feels special. The presentation is also first class. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
On first spray, with no expectations of what I was about to smell, I was taken aback just how familiar it smelled. I knew the dna instantly as I have a bottle of Layton. As it dries down, it doesn’t follow quite the same path and I have come to realise I hate ambroxan, so this is not for me.
So many question marks over this one regarding performance. When you wear it, it’s like it’s not even there. But wait, I received one of the strongest compliments I’ve ever had while wearing this. And at the time I could no longer perceive it. But the people in the room said it was the most amazing smell whenever I walked past. Don’t ever think you can trust your nose to smell something. It’ll let you down. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
