Absolute vile. The only thing this fragrance is gonna guide me to is the nearest window where I can actually get some air. Cloying milky, vanillic fruity fragrance that does not live up at all to its hype. Don't come for this one thinking it will be a cute osmanthus - sandalwood fragrance. After a million scrubbing it smells exactly similar to Nobody Knows by Zara. Don't even bother trying.
If you have ever smelled the scent of green, unripened banana, then you would absolutely fell in love with this. Photorealistic green banana without being too synthetic. Klubwasser by Wienerbrut is similar, but at a much higher price point. If you can get your hands on the old formulation, then hold on to it for dear life.
Guaiacwood being display front and center! Musky, warm, with a touch of warmth and herbaceous sweetness and smokiness from the Gaiac. This to me is the perfect Guaiacwood scent, coming to a close second with Etro Musk - which is very similar to this creation from M. Micallef. I have always feel that Gaiac 10 tends to go a bit soapy in a sort of "generic dog shampoo"-esque in the first few hours, that is why Gaiac is just that superior to me. Definitely a love from the house!
Spicy citrus (orange/tangerine) in the opening, morphing to an ambery, dirty iris and vanilla base. Longevity and projection is eh. Great for date nights or for collectors who love anything Mark Buxton, slightly disappointing if you are looking for something a bit more artistic.
Just like the packaging, Douleur!2 is so much fun & probably one of the few fragrances that kept me sniffing my arms after putting it on. Came in totally blind without any ideas of the notes, Douleur!2 started off quite strong, with the green metallic combo, but a few minutes later, it smells exactly like the juiciest, ripest mango and it stays like that on the skin. A total love from me and so glad I was able to get my hands on a bottle!
