As someone with history in New Orleans I have been so excited by the fragrances being released by Hez Parfums. When Hez says New Orleans in a bottle, he is not kidding.Hurricane is inspired by one of the most popular drinks in the city and was created at Pat O’Brien’s. It opens with a sweet cherry and passion fruit mix with hints of orange and pineapple. After a short while the rum, cognac and gin are present with the woods and musk underneath. While sweet, it’s not gourmand and the warmer undertones of booze and wood start to shine through. Hurricane definitely feels like a summer evening in the French Quarter and I enjoy wearing it greatly.
Having lived in New Orleans, my wife is a native and it’s where we met, the smells of NOLA ring true with us. After smelling a sample of Banana Bread Banshee I immediately ordered a bottle for my wife and she loves it. It is photo realistic and if you close your eyes you will think you’re in the bakery picking up a fresh loaf. The banana, chocolate, brown sugar really jump out for me.terrific gourmand scent.
Absolu Aventus is a deeper, darker and richer take on the Aventus DNA. I see it being great for cooler days and evenings, will have a full bottle on November 1st. 👍👍
Agree that Citrine is one classy citrus fragrance. Not your run of the mill citrus bombs for sure, quality citrus opening with some depth and a great mix of mid and bottom notes from all corners of the spectrum.
I was just comparing Ombré Leather Parfum to the OG and I definitely like the parfum more. It reminds me of a shoemaker’s shop. I can’t get that out of my head and don’t know if it’s just me or not. Will wear it this winter.
Dirty Neroli might jus be the best Neroli scent I’ve ever smelled. And it’s a beast in both projection and longevity. I’ve compared it to seven or eight of the other best Neroli frags out there and this is hands down better in all areas.
