The opening is really, really fruity, it reminds me of pineapples, what I liked first, but then it turns into a common and boring scent. Does not hit me or excite me. The bottle is pretty though, just like in the picture.
I never tested this perfume, because I disliked the bottle, but well I read so good reviews about it and in the end it made me curious to try. My review is for the EDT of Sensations. I read that it has a more appealing scent than the EDP version. I tested it on my wrist, and the beginning is a mix of citrus+vanilla, very creamy and soft. But then it transforms into one of the most beautiful sweet, cuddly vanilla scents I've ever smelled. Very comforting and alluring too. A must-try for all vanilla-lovers! The lasting power is amazing, lasts on me about 15 hrs.
Essential is such a clear, soft, fresh, feminine and light fragrance, in a few words - I just love it :) Many thanks to SandraS, as without her, I would have never had the chance to test it, as I was not able to find it in any locate shops. I really need to buy a bottle of it this year. I also think it suits the best in spring or summer, but fall wouldn't be wrong either. This scent is hard to describe. I feel it is a bit fruity because of the red currant and mostly light floral and woody. Definitively worth a try!!
Aw, I as I can see I have not reviewed this masterpiece yet. So, let's go: First I must admit, that it's terrible that they discontinued this pretty scent, I am unable to find it anywhere here in Germany and if I do, it is very expensive. At first sniff there is a light freshness of lime, but then it turns into a creamy, warm and very feminine scent, I think the almond in mix with Benzoine create this feeling. I just love the dry down of Sensi and I think it is perfect for snugly cold winter evenings, because it has such a comforting feeling.
JIL by Jil Sander is a heavy floral but mostly powdery scent, especially in the dry down. I feel a lot of Lily at the beginning, which is just too heavy for my nose, but after a few hours it settles down to a pretty and easy to wear scent. A creamy vanilla dry down, with some powdery notes of Iris and heliotrope. The lasting power is pretty good, I think a few drops of it are more than enough.
I like how this scent changes after hours. My expectation was a bit more fig, but I mainly get vanilla and coconut milk from this scent. It is not heavy sweet, just comforting. Then it changes into a light musky scent which reminds me of Burberry Brit, and that's what I really like here. I would recommend it for fall or winter. Brown Sugar & Fig is not overpowering, but it lasts a few hours. This scent might be discontinued by now, though.
I am a bit disappointed by Rose Praline, as I thought it would be a more chocolaty rose scent, but the notes I smell here the most are tea-notes. At the beginning it feels refreshing, I get some bergamot and flowery notes out of it. Then it changes into a soft, sweet tea and flower scent. I think some notes don't harmonize very well, though. Not bad, but It's also nothing I personally would enjoy wearing. The lasting power is not very good, as it only lasts about 3 hours on me. The name and the bottle are nice, though.
Teint de Neige, what a beautiful fragrance you are. At first, I must admit that this perfume is quite similar to lipstick Rose just with more power and more spectacular, it also reminds me of baby powder. At the beginning I get much of powdery and soft roses with a hint of ylang ylang, this character marked it with the typical old-fashioned touch, which I adore in some perfumes. Later it turns into a creamy, sweet powder scent, gives me the feeling of laying in a smooth bed of snow. It seems that a few drops of it are enough and just right balanced. A very comfortable scent, if for spring, autumn or winter. I also can say: two thumbs up for the lasting power, it's amazing. This fragrance really deserves the name Teint de Neige.
I finally come to my review about L'or de Torrente. A unique coffee-rose-scent. A dry powdery vibe or like "Trvevil" said 'dusty'. The dominant notes here are the creamy cappuccino and the soft rose petals. It would be a good fit for the evening out, but I also think it's not wrong wearing it during the day or at the office, because it's not that strong or heavy. The bottle is indeed a masterpiece, almost resembles autumn.
Quel Amour! This one is different than I've expected at first, it is much more "flowery" than "fruity. Despite all the fruits in the top notes. The only fruit I get here is the tart scent of Pomegranate, mixed with a bouquet of light flowers. Very fresh, thus absolutely refreshing and because of this easiness, this scent would work very well for spring or summer. The most Annick Goutal fragrances have this 'cute-touch' in their scent profile. I am not sure if the name "quel amour" is the right fit for this perfume, as I expect something more sensual, when I read this name. Nevertheless, a good all-rounder in my opinion, easy to wear and long-lasting too. I guess, fans of floral-perfumes would like it.
