A floral spicy powdery woody fragrance. Composed well and something really special, but it’s a fragrance you need to get to know. On my skin the powdery floral note really takes centre place something I don’t normally like, but it’s well done. After the flowers you get a beautiful mix of spices and warm notes. it is a well put together fragrance and as with all Mystikum fragrances it pushes the boandaries of perfumery and unisex fragrances.
Moonlight Ceremony is a Masterpiece of dark fragrances. It combines to me the scent of smoky burnt wood with lapsang suochong, all set into a ambery/oudy base. sometimes a hint of tar comes through and slight spicy note of saffron. It remindes me of hotels in Austria or southern Germany who still use traditional wood stoves and who’s hallways are filled with the delicious aroma’s of sweet and savery food but not in a gourmand or dirty way, but a nice hint. I think it’s a wonderfull fragrance, but I can see that not everyone would like it. But is that necessary? No! It’s a masterpiece because it makes harsh burnt scents smooth and wearable in the most luxurious and decadent way, it’s warm and comforting but it’s also challenging. It evolves beautifully from a first shock to warm and oppulent. Wear it on more cooler days (under 20 C) or in winter.
To me it was a real Proust experience and I’m so greatfull I had the pleasure of having it. It preforms perfectly and lasts all day, it’s not overpowering, but will still be noticed.
I don’t really like to put fragrances into a definitive category, but The Color of Air is a real spring/summer scent. Fresh citrus aromatics blended with a peppery spice note, that lasts all day and gives a great sillage that is present in the room but is not overpowering. The scent would be lost if sprayed in cold weather but comes to itself on a sunny day. It gives color and freshness to the hot air.
Is it a good artistic expression of a “silkroad” inspired scent? Absolutly! Do you have the feeling you smelt it before? Yeah, maybe. Did it blew my mind? No, but does it have to?
It’s overall a fantastic scent with decent sillage and great longevity, great warming notes of cacao, oud, lovely warm woods, slight leathery hint, so if you‘re in that kinda mood or you want a safe, sure that people will like it, good expression of a western meets oriental scent? Then it’s a great idea to go for saddles of the silkroad by Mystikum Berlin!
A fresh-aromatic spicy woody leathery masterpiece. A scent that is difficult to describe, it starts as a tart fresh rhubarb mixed with woods, drying down into a leathery woody base that stills holds its freshness. It’s Quinten Bish’s masterpiece. It can go on anytime of year and will hold its magic. It’s stays forever and will make your presence linger long after you left the room, but without being irritating or anoying. It combines Quinten Bish’s masterfull blends of spice, freshness and slightly dark woods to perfection.
One of the best allrounder fresh-woody scents. for a cologne it preforms like a eau de parfum, with a fantastic longevity (8-12h) and a medium sillage. It‘s fresh with being weak, also woody-Leathery with a very masculine vibe. It’s nickname with my wife is my “Dad-smell”. It’s reliable, perfect value for money and out of this world preformance for something that is marketed as a cologne. I would not recommend it for guys under 25, it would smell a bit out of its place but that‘s personal. If you want a classy, dad like, italian luxury at it’s finest, then AdP Colonia Intensa is the fragrance for you.
A good take on Oud, combining Oud with mineral/aquatic notes is done with good skill. It creates a good allrounder-scent with medium sillage and a good 6-10 h on skin. A Metallic-mineral opening, combined with some spice notes and a not so animalic Oud dry down. I get why people have sort of love/hate relationship with it, but to me it’s a good allrounder, a workplace/holliday everyday scent.
In my personal opinion it leans more to being the masterpiece of Julien Rasquinet than just a fragrance. it‘s the perfect blend of spicy warmth and freshness at the same time, meeting manly woody, leathery warmth and comfort. In that same way it blends oriental and western style fragrance in the most briljant way. It’s special but approchable, really present but not overpowering, it’s elegant, gentlemanly but also mystirious and hard to capture. It’s story of the enclave in Oman is a very good one, capturing freshness and desert heath really tells the story of it‘s duality in a very scenic way. Overall: a very versitile scent that you can wear in a suit in a boardroom, in shorts allong the italian or French coast or on a rainy cold day. To me, it will always bring a smile to my face.
An oriental Woody spicy scent that lingers and transports you to the warmth of the desert and the spice of the silkroads. It’s not to harsh, yet present and smooth. Great scent that suits any occasion, maybe not for the hottest days of the year, but that‘s a personal choice.
Sadly it is just not strong enough for me, it a beautiful sent, but just not enough ... Punch
