One of the few aquatic fragrances that works on my skin. The new 2024 Parfum gets very close to this, so it’s not really worth paying ridiculous prices for. Easy signature scent for a man 25+ and it does get complimented.
One of those amazing scents that you wonder why it got discontinued. I try not to use it for the same reason unless for a special occasion. I’ve gotten myself on Suqraat by Lataffa whenever I wanna smell like the OG
Acqua di Gio Profumo exudes confidence and maturity while still staying true to its roots. It opens with salty aquatic notes and bergamot, just like the classic Acqua di Gio, before an aromatic heart of sage, rosemary and geranium begin to take over. The dry down is addicting - sweet Incense and patchouli contrast the fresher notes beautifully to create something truly unique. The longevity of this scent is fantastic and the quality is actually quite impressive, which I honestly don’t see too much from Armani’s releases. This scent is quintessentially masculine and mature, it means business and makes you smell important while still managing to be very mass appealing. This scent is one of the few designer freshies that continues to impress me every time I wear it. Perhaps it’s the combination of fresh aquatic notes with such contrasting dark notes. It’s very creative and still holds up to this day, I will always have a bottle of this. I’m very interested to see how the new Acqua di Gio Parfum compares to this as it’s supposed to be a re-release of Profumo.
Bought following the hype train and I’m sure I was nose blind to it. It just appeared to smell like pear drops candy to me. For a long while it sat on the shelf gathering dust. I wrote a negative review of it. Meh. And then I gave it a chance. And the day after that I wore it again. And again. And again and again. I started to get it. I grasped it’s beauty. And it became my daily scent. I wear it everyday to the office. It has this boss-like aura. Puts you in that alpha mind set. And I’m no longer nose blind to it. I get the incense, the salty aquatic. It glimmers, like golden sunlight pushing through the murky depths. And it’s refined and smells so fine; technically excellent. I’ve been searching for an aquatic fragrance that i like more than this and I’m yet to find one. Most aqua scents either smell sporty or have too much seaweed. ADGp walks that fine line and at the same time delivers something so beautiful, wearable, stunning. Follow me on Instagram: @TheScentiest
I love almost everything Georgio Armani when it comes to cologne. This fragrance has a very nice aquatic scent with some subtle fresh spice additions. The scent is phenomenal. Unfortunately, on my skin this fragrance has no lasting power, nor protection. I find myself using 15 sprays minimum. It sits very close to my skin. If I could muster more than a few hours of longevity on this fragrance, it would definitely be a 5 star.
