Managed to get hold of a sample today and I must say it's absolutely stunning. I had tried it before a while back and then decided to get Mont Blanc Individuel as a stop gap really, a more financially viable option too. They are very, very similar indeed but quite different when initially sprayed the Creed smells a little harsher and sweeter which takes it to a different realm. When you get into to heart of the fragrance the similarities become very apparent. Then finally comparing side by side I would have to say that there's just something I prefer about the Creed as drys down its just magical stuff that keeps on giving sweetness and spice...beautiful. If I'm honest though it still doesn't inspire me to purchase, it's simply not over £100 better than the Individuel which is fantastic and after all was released first. Not that Creed have copied it or anything, i think its more subtle and refined than the Mont Blanc, you can definitely tell it's a really well finessed scent that has better projection and longevity. The point is....this scent is good and I totally love it!!!! Update: Just looking back on my review and it's spot on as per usual! hahah only kidding! I still feel the same way about Creed Santal though I know now that the Longevity is negligible. I've had MBI and I love that scent. I was aware that it predated OS but only recently discovered that Piere Boudon and Oliver Creed are friends which completely explains the whole GIT and Davidoff CW thing! Although in that case the Creed fragrance is a clear winner. It's tit for tat...they've poached ideas of each others ideas and probably have a right old laugh about it. All the way to the bank!
