Sumptuous Velvety Fluffy Subtle Classy I think I can’t describe any fruity scent with those words. This so unique and all my expectations about Journey W were fulfilled when I smelled this fragrance for the first time and I even got more. This is heavenly blended Apricot and Osmanthus. It’s not juicy at all, it’s powdery and soft. It’s luxurious and very hard to resist. There is even honey in it but it’s not sweet at all. All the notes which are there has been done in the different way than you are used to. It’s indulgent and there is some vintage vibe in it. Jasmine doesn't stand out in any kind of way. Tobacco is also elegant, like a gentle vapor which softens the fruity notes. This is a Journey to your dreams. Beautiful. Edit September 2024: For me Journey Woman is a summertime scent. It performs in totally different kind of way when it's cold: it's synthetic, cloying and suffocating. Last winter I was thinking that I don't love it anymore and I'm happy I didn't sell it. This summer arrived and it was like it used to be last summer. It was again mesmerising, special, it was shining and every day when I was wearing it was a journey. Top: Apricot, Jasmine Tea, Osmanthus, Nutmeg, Cardamom Heart: Jasmine, Sambac, Mimosa, Honey, Cedarwood Base: Pipe Tobacco, Saffron, Vanilla, Cypriol, Musk Thank you for reading and if you want to follow me on IG: @ninamariah_perfumes
The feminine Amouage fragrances I've tried so far (bare in mind I've not tried them all) have all been pretty uninspiring in comparison to the Men's stuff which is in another league from anything you could find elsewhere and especially in the designer realm. I'm not being a snob here I just mean from a value point of view. I could wage the critism that some of the womens ones (fruity/musks etc..) could be found elsewhere cheaper. Journey however ooozes quality despite being a playful and upbeat, fruity, floral scent. There's no way I could wear this but on my girlfriend it smelled fantastic just kept getting waves of apriot, yellow florals and spices. The main thing I noticed was jasmine a scent which I adore especially in the context presented here. So this is a fruity scent with a base of musk but with hints of heavier and warmer notes of honey, nutmeg and maybe tobacco although I didn't get a great deal of it. I spent an entire day smelling it on my girl and thought it was great and projected really well and lasted as you'd expect an Amouage fragrance to last. Top marks for this one from me although it's a definite one for the ladies only in my opinion.
I was so surprised by this fragrance. Being Amouage I was expecting more heft and frankincense. But this is a fluffy poem of fruit and flowers. I saw comparisons to Neshama souls on fire and decided to test this. So glad I did. It is so beautiful and classy. The leather is barely detectable, and only in the base. The osmanthus is clear and airy with apricots enhancing the fruit aspects and jasmine supporting the flowery aspects with some cardomom adding some interest and some light honey making it sweet. The honey is not syrupy but light like what you smell when you add it to tea . There is also some tea, but not standing out to my nose, just part of the blend that supports the osmanthus. One of the most beautiful osmanthus perfumes I have tried. Overlooked in the Amouage lineup. I am guessing a good seller for then since it's part of their current selection from the Chong era.Blooms beautifully on you ur skin in the summer.
