Following the usual Halfeti line.
Dry, warm and spicy. Fruity sweet and aromatic.
The incense and woods are beautiful.
On first application, the leather peeks through. It’s smooth and slightly animalic.
Right now, it smells closer to OG Halfeti.
6 hours later it’s faded quite a bit but is still warm and sweet with a little spice. I’m not getting much leather.
Prefer the OG or Cedar.
Beautifully fresh, woody, herbal, and aromatic.
The sandalwood here isn’t your expected creamy note, it’s dry. Mixed with the Papyrus/Cypriol that amps up the herbal, I personally love the dill / pickle vibe it gives.
I’m sure there’s many who do and will love this.
It’s not for me. This is a scent profile I keep coming across and every time I find it cloying. It’s sweet, it’s floral, with a heavy spicy base of patchouli.
It’s strange as I love rose, and love patchouli.
For comparison -
AR has Litchi, Rose, and Patchouli.
Juice+ from Commodity has Raspberry, Rose, and Patchouli.
Angel Nova has Litchi, Rose, and Akigalawood.
Those are the 3 so far I could say are at least cousins if not sisters lol.
If you’re interested in AR, check out the other two too. Could save yourself a fortune.
A powerhouse of coffee, quickly overcome by a powerhouse of maple syrup. There is no joking with this one. It's as powerful as people say. Sample. Use sparingly. Don't get it on clothes unless you're sure it's for you. The use of Sotolone here is where it goes wrong for me.
Sotolone is a chemical compound with a strong aroma that smells like maple syrup, caramel, or burnt sugar at lower concentrations, and fenugreek or curry at higher concentrations.
Due to its overdose here, after a few hours, the curry smell comes out.
I had to put my decant in a ziplock bag in the attic as the curry smell was filling the room just from the 1ml decant bottle being there.
I never did spray this. I just dabbed the nozzle on my hand. It survived 3 days and 2 showers before it became unnoticeable.
Having the fear from trying Followed (it's currently in a Ziploc back in my attic) I was hesitant to sample this.
The coffee was strong and instant, really nice.
Quite a noticeable undertone of caramel.
There is a spice here- can't work out if it's nutmeg or clove. I'm leaning more towards clove.
It's been about 30 minutes now so I will update in a while.
4 hours in and it's much the same, but has mellowed.
It's a very smooth almost festive coffee. The coffee remains dark and strong.
The Sotolone used in Followed turned curry on me after several hours. Not sure if it's in this or not but hoping the outcome isn't the same !
A beautiful fresh, tart, tangy orange peel.
Not juicy in the way of ADP Arancia La Spugnatura.
There's not much else going on.
It's beautiful in its simplicity.
A powerhouse of citrus, woods, spices and leather.
Deep but not dark. Rich, warming, luxurious.
The opening for me is a smack of plasticky rubber, thankfully that doesn’t last too long, only a couple of minutes on my skin, but behind that..
The fresh citrusy resins with their warmth and spice are almost mouthwatering, complemented by the fragrant and spicy peppers.
Fresh juicy resins is a new thought for me lol
The warm fuzzy suede, and the creamy indulgent vanilla hold the fort. The vanilla is realistic as it should be. Somewhere between sweet and savoury.
A really sexy alluring scent.
The opening is a beautiful sweet apple tobacco, and the liquorice is prominent.
There is definitely a similarity to Angel’s Share, but it’s still different enough.
The liquorice note reminded me of the Legacy of Petra from Penhaligon‘s. I don’t care for LoP I find it too cloying, but the liquorice here works beautifully and gives structure and contrast to the sweetener notes, along with the sage
The vanilla smooths and rounds everything out.
A really sex frag. Smooth and alluring without being overpowering.
An interesting one for sure.
Citrus, aromatic, and almost leaning savoury, presuming thats the immortelle and very dry saffron.
A cheap plasticky leather being created on a metal table in a laboratory.
Sterile, cold, yet warm and fragrant.
The woods are dry and fragrant.
The are elements that remind me of Secretions Magnifique. The cool metallic sterility with the lingering florals. Ganymeade However leans away from any lactonic or coppery metallics.
