Doliphor is very intimate, very soft and personal.
It's difficult to describe because of this.
It's like a baby's head. Maybe that's the easiest way.
Human, clean, lactonic.
It doesn't lean too dirty on me. Slightly sweet and aromatic from the carrot seed.
I was immediately worried about the costus note as it really wasn't for me in Ambilux, but here it is just right.

Composition:
Beautifully sweet, with warming boozy rum and rich tobacco. The sweet ripe dark fruits, and rich cacao are delicious.
The leather is subtle and the vanilla is sweet and indulgent but doesn't lead edible on me. .
The tobacco is something else I have to say. Smokey and rich. The leather is just the right depth to add a comforting familiarity of a well worn leather jacket.
Cosy, delicious, comforting, and amazingly masculine.
Very green, a little sweet, aromatic and aquatic.
Bright with ginger and citrus, and warm with woods and balsams.

Warm, dark, a little green with subtle woods. The Ambroxan note is rich and deep and slightly animalic with balsamic smoothness. Don't get much of the orange but there is a little bright sweetness so I'll guess it's that.
It's not just as creamy as grand soir, and a little spicier, but if you're into GS you'll like this.
A great all rounder.
Naxos has a lot of the classic masculine tropes; lavender, citrus, and tobacco.
Smells similar to Mugler Pure Havane, but a little lighter and brighter.
The citrus and lavender add an aromatic freshness to the warming cinnamon and sweet honey, while the smooth cashmeran and vanilla help round things out with soft sweetness.
The tobacco is well placed between bright and sweet and adds a beautiful aromatic earthiness, and the Tonka adds a soft spice.
Once it begins to settle, fresh florals come through and brighten the fragrance up.

Beautifully fresh citrus with lots of light aromatics. The freshness of ginger is really nice, and helps with the fresh aquatic feel.
There is gentle balsamic warmth and structure in the base with amber and labdanum.
After many hours, the dry down offers more spice alongside the aromatics and aquatic notes while the ginger and citrus still providing a noticible uplift
A great every day scent, perfect for all occasions. Inoffensive yet noticeable.
Opening is warm, sweet, and floral with the aromatic and metallic twinge of saffron.
Once this starts to settle the boozy rum becomes clearer with a subtle spice, smooth woods and tobacco.
It's cosy, pleasant and perfectly wearable, but not sure about the intense hype it gets.
This is not your mass appealing leather fragrance by any means but as with all Rook, you need to give it time. Time to develop and time for yourself to understand the house.
This one opens with a blast of intense realistic leather. Freshly laid out to dry. There is a heavy coal tar note in the opening adding a medicinal feeling to the smoke and leather.
This intensity passes reasonably quickly, where it softens into a cleaner, smoother, but still a little medicinal leather scent with a hint of animalic fur.
A really lovely bright citrussy white floral. Aromatic with a gentle musky softness.
Not much more to it than that.

Citrus notes try their best to brighten up the maelstrom in the deep sea which is threatening to pull everything into it.
There's almost a white wine note here, and something like gasoline and metal in the distance.
Some spicy peppery notes mingle around dark salty aquatics thanks to an overdose of Ambroxan.
The calone and hedione introduce a small balance of watery sweetness and florals, but are par on par with the salty green seaweed, woody notes, and musk.
Overall, it's a dark and spicy acquatic scent with woody and smoky incense notes. The citruses do come through the depths quite often.
I really enjoy this - but I can see why others wouldn't.
