This is the first DB fragrance I've ever tried. I had a certain reluctance and skepticism about 'celebrity' fragrances if you like. Nothing against Beckham, In fact as a die hard Manchester United fan I've nothing but respect for the guy. Anyway...This fragrance is not bad at all. Aromatic, manly, and pretty old skool frankly! I won't be getting it but it's not bad at all and has encouraged me to try the other fragrances in the line.
I like this....It's a soapy (suprise suprise!) very well conceived fragrance that is soft, elegant and refined. Great stuff!
Tried this the other day and it's similiar to Tom Ford Noir but there's definitive differences too. I've been wearing lots of ambery, leathery, patchouly creating accords of chocolate, sumptuiously sexy kinda fragrances recently and I asked myself...Do I really need another one? Not really! That's not to say this isn't absolutely lovely warm, dark juice... because it is. I'm really a fan of Prada now the original Amber is good too.
A friend of mine has this and I can't say I've ever really noted him wearing it before...which says it all really. Quite bland and very soft on my skin, I'm somebody who needs to apply a lot of a fragrance like this to be able to detect it. That's not to say its not very nice sweet and citrusy. I can just about understand the comparisons with Zegna Intenso which I'm really keen on...it has the same clean classiness. There's a great deal on this at the moment where you get shower gel, another extra a 100ml EDT, a 20ml spritzer and an Armani towel all for the price of the EDT with 10% off too....too good to miss I think. The verdict is...gentle but nice.
At a glance at the notes prior to sampling this collection I thought this would be my favourite for sure. To my surprise I didn't like it at all and furthermore I found it very feminine which is strange for a woody fragrance...maybe feminine is a little far but I struggled with it being unisex. I wouldn't wear this.
Love it this one it really made my day! I was looking forward to sampling this collection but the others were a little disappointing this one redeemed the range somewhat. Lovely fruity citrus and the freshness and rare joy of vegetable and truly authentic green notes. My favourite Hermes fragrance of this type.
Couldn't wait to try this collection and this one was very nice, sweet spicy and thoroughly likable but nothing that special.
From a collection point of view I absolutely couldn't wait to try this and I've been waiting a long time too! I very nearly bought it blind but finally I found it to test and I'm kinda glad I did. I love woody fragrances and the assortment of notes in this is right up my street. As I mentioned as a collector it's a must have in terms of innovative bottle design and brand distinction. When I initially sprayed it I got what can only be described as an awful, muggy horrible note which I identified as being the same smell I disliked from Azzaro Decibel although the scents are quite different this element is unbearable for me. Thankfully, this smell is short lived and when it's gone you're left with an lovely woody scent, that is well balanced and smooth...just what I like. I also tried the Rocky Mountain wood and I have to say I preferred that as it has more strength and spice but this one is pleasant and I will definitely add both to my collection at some point.
Dear oh dear this has an immediately repellant note to it that I've smelled before and I can't say what it is but it's kinda musty and über earthy to the point of unpleasantness. It's exactly what I get from Dsquared He Wood, not that they are alike throughout but it's a kind of horrible smell not similar to but as bad as ammonia...if you get what I mean? If you can tell I seriously don't like this smell but the rest of the fragrance is alright if I could get past it, maybe it mellows in the dry down I don't know? The bottle is cool though...a bit ridiculous but I think there's room for that in the fragrance market.
Lovely, lovely orange scent. Can't really give much more detail than has been given in some of the great reviews on here. It's got every possible nuance of orange to give it a really natural quality that is incredibly refreshing and invigorating. I think I'd get the concentrated version just to ensure a bit more strength but this stuff is amazing.
