In the ever-evolving galaxy of fine fragrance, Aldebaran emerges as a radiant new star. The latest creation from master perfumer Quentin Bisch for Marc-Antoine Barrois, Aldebaran is a luminous tribute to hope, light, and reinvention.
Taking its name from the brightest star in the Taurus constellation—first observed by an 18th-century Arab astronomer and derived from the Arabic Al-Debaran, meaning “the follower” or “the guide”—this fragrance is more than a scent. It’s an olfactory compass, leading the wearer from darkness into a realm of shimmering clarity.
Bisch reimagines Tuberose, the iconic diva of white flowers, with remarkable finesse. Instead of the heavy opulence tuberose often carries, Aldebaran unveils her in a fresh, pure form—almost celestial in its lightness. This is not a tuberose that overwhelms, but one that glows.
A daring contrast enlivens the heart of the perfume: the green, crisp bite of Bell Pepper, adding a vegetal brightness that’s as unexpected as it is refreshing. It’s this tension—between floral opulence and raw green vitality—that defines Aldebaran's unique character.
And in the background? A warm, whispering trail of Tonka Bean and Mate powder—softly addictive, grounding the composition in an elegant base that lingers like a comforting promise.
Described as "the perfume of optimism," Aldebaran is a scent for dreamers, for seekers, for those who long to be guided by a star.
